Nauseating coverage from Sky Sports re Frank Lampard, and media darling Redknapp given maximum coverage too. Glad to see his 'knee op' not stopping him from getting about. I so hope they fade away! Watching that you would think it was May 2019 and they had won the fucking thing!!

Well done Frank, played poor against a team that nearly got relegated last season, and sneaked the points.

I don't see why it's controversial to say that Rowett has to succeed. He was brought in as a pragmatic (if relatively young and promising) manager to get us out of this league while we're still a big fish.
I'm reasonably confident that he will do a good job with the tools at his disposal.

I didn't realise they were called Derby. I thought it was Frank Lampards Derby. Kind of like Rangers new name, Steven Gerrards Rangers.

Have I missed something?
The Daily Mail is saying this morning "Derby were ferocious" - they were fucking shite.
The Lampard wankfast is going to be unprecedented this season.

Lampard has an advantage because he is a winner and will pass that on . That's a double edged sword though. He has to adapt to working with players who might not be as motivated as he was. And not as skillful as he was. That can be a big challenge. I'm not saying it makes him a good manager but the attitude of pushing his players to win instead if taking the draw is a help . Darren Bent was a pundit here and said Lawrence who scored the winner didn't have that freedom last season. Jury is out on Lampard as a manager but I expect he will be positive.

As in the Premier League where the media constantly and sycophantically drool over the "big 6" plus honorary media darlings Bournemouth and West Ham, they've now got their Championship version in "Frank Lampard's Derby". It's bad enough right now at the start of the season but if Derby stay in the top 2 or 3, or even just in the top 6, the media will be willing them to get promotion preferably by winning the Championship by a mile. If not Lampard which other Championship manager would they be able to drool over ? Rowett, Pulis, Bruce - not really any contenders.
Just hope they fail dismally, or even better that we're the party poopers to spoil their "perfect scenario". It would be good to see them just miss the playoffs or lose in the playoff final.
Sadly I do think it's Derby's season this year and Lampard will finally get them promoted.

I’d like to think that all this media coverage will take the attention off us and make Derby the team that they all want to beat to take the smile off smug Franks face. On another note don’t they have to sell after the money they’ve spent especially with having Vydra still on there books who’s sale was supposed to be funding new players.

I watched the game and it was a tough watch. Quality was awful but I guess it was the first game. Praise for Frank that he kept them going forward even in injury time and got their reward. I am not convinced GR will do the same when the scores are level...but we will find out soon. Also having watched a game that included Keogh who tried to play it out from the back and fail miserably, an ageing McShane and a 33yr old Nugent trundling around, I feel a bit more positive that Ashley Williams won't feel out of place in this division.

Agreed...and I think Ashley has just a tad more ability than them

You just know theres going to be a Lampard love in all season. I bet they're on live more than any other team. For what it's worth some of there youngsters look decent without being world beaters but they do have some pretty average players too. I hope it is a “Lampard love in”. We can go on and do the job efficiently and effectively without the hype

3 good away points from the first game.
Not sure why so many people are so against him, it's a bit sad really.

Indeed they are but some of the comments about Lampard are just over the top. If that would have been Rowett yesterday they'd have sat back in injury time and drawn the game.
