I'm on holiday and just met a baggies fan. Spent a good hour sharing our mutual dislike of pulis. Very theraputic it was too It simply amazes me that people slag off the job Tony Pulis at Stoke. You can debate whether he was the 1st or 2nd most successful manager in the clubs history but he is definitely one of the other. He oversaw some of the greatest moments most of us supporters have ever witnessed as Stoke fans. Most of the team he built that got us into and kept us in the Premier league will go down as club legends. What he did was quite remarkable so to sit in a pub and slag him off beggars belief. I predict Middlesbrough will have a strong season and TP will come back to haunt us again but I wish him good luck. Apart from against the mighty Potters!

A budget of zero that allowed him to bring in 36 players in his first stint. Tight arsed Icelanders. Makes you wonder how the Boskamp Bum Boys kept banging on about us only having 9 players when he joined us. Wonder what happened there? Er well we did. It was all hand to mouth stuff with Toxic Tony. Boskamp did a good job keeping us up that season despite being a sandwich short of a picnic.

Two clubs who probably wouldn't be in the Championship if he was still in charge [Insert Kermit the frog sipping coffee picture here] You’re right. If West Brom had continued to drop in the fashion they were under Pulis before he got sacked they’d have probably got relegated twice in the same season.

I can’t understand anybody that doesn’t appreciate the guy. I don’t like his attitude towards us after he left but I will never forget what he did for us.

What absolute nonsense! TP was sacked in November with WBA a point ABOVE the bottom three. It was Alan Pardew who came in and 'steadied' the sinking ship by sending them straight to the bottom of the table. If TP had stayed there, there's no doubt that would have stayed up. I don't see how anyone can argue that TP has/had what it takes to keep a team in the Premier League. But obviously his time was up and we have paid for it by expecting Hughes to take us further which he did for a spell before losing the plot entirely.
