Tearing multiple ligaments in your knee sucks. It doesn't matter how rich you are. Not being able to walk/run for a whole year, having to use crutches or braces, and then having to do months of physical rehabilitation sucks. Having it jeopardize your career especially sucks no matter how much money you have. I guess you also felt no sympathy for Butland when he was out for a whole year with his injury? I snapped my cruciate and had 2 operations to have it replaced with part of my hamstring. I had to borrow 7k to get it done as I had no health cover and had no cash at that time. It also ended my indoor 5-a-side career. Sure the Ox was thinking about me though. As for Butland. I had a little sympathy though i was more concerned about the team. It's an injury, nothing life threatening. Likewise I DID have sympathy for Diouf when his mum was crushed to death.

Tough bollox. He can't do his job but he'll still pick up more money in year than we can probably earn in our life time. If I'm off work I don't get paid simple as that. If he is seen driving a 1995 Nissan Micra then I might have some empathy. I bet you're the kind of person who thinks the likes of Danny Rose has no reason to be depressed and should just 'look at his bank balance and cheer up.' Wow just wow. So your comparing an injury that will heal to a mental illness that may never go away???

Does anyone have any sympathy for myself and others reading this thread that’s now turned into total dog-shyte?

Likewise I DID have sympathy for Diouf when his mum was crushed to death. By your earlier reasoning, Diouf didn't deserve sympathy because there are people who have lost both parents in tragic accidents, lost their children, lost the spouse who earned money for the family leaving them destitute, etc. So Diouf's loss is minor in comparison.

Sympathy is a finite emotion then? You need to get your head checked if you really believe this warrants sympathy. With all the shit that's happening all over the world, all the people living in poverty, starving to death, in the slave trade, sex trade, dying young, living in war zones, losing loved ones, etc... and you expect everyone to have sympathy for this? You're having a laugh. That is so dumb. Nobody is suggesting it keeps them up at night and Alex will be kept in their prayers until he graces the turf arbor Anfield again...
