Doesn't look anywhere near enough 'surgery' on this squad at the moment

Great to see us banging the goals in, like last year.

Projected points tally 55 and falling manger pissed off , ceo clueless , players warned we needed new blood before pre season , all the ingredients for another very very poor season building and this time will it also be the managers fault ? It says something that on the pre season memories thread your favourite memory is us losing 5-0 😄 It’s like you enjoy the pain and suffering, crave it even. Like a football equivalent of slitting your wrists, but across the vein.. in an attention seeking, pain addicted kind of way. Ya big negative Nelly

Rowett said in one of his recent interviews that he was watching the players to see as much what they weren't doing as much as what they are doing.
So far in these Germany matches I get the impression he is looking hard at those players he is doubtful about and giving them game time to check them out and then rule them in or out.
I would suggest those young players not here are already ruled out for the start of the season, and today Bojan, Berhino, Haugaard, and Cameron are being looked at hard. The players not getting picked to play first are probably favourites to start the Leeds match currently.

Fed and Benny may be injured, Choupo may be being rested so he is not injured ahead of a move if rumours are to be believed.
I hop Rowett is asked about his selections after the game.

We seem to be racking up more injuries than we are scoring goals on this ill fated tour to Germany.
Adam and Imbula out for the count, did someone suggest Afobe and Federici are crook too?

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/stoke-city-hamburg-live-meppen-1810510Hamburg 0 Stoke 0 Of those who aren’t playing, I believe Choupo-Moting has had a bit of a back problem, Charlie Adam has a hamstring strain, Darren Fletcher flew home for family reasons, Badou Ndiaye only turned up yesterday and Mame Diouf is on the bench having arrived on Wednesday. Adam Federici had the full 90 against Bochum. Benik Afobe’s on the bench too after a good run out against Bochum. GOAL! Erik Pieters!

If he now is settled in his mind as what certain players can or can’t do give the others some time on the pitch so he assess the others and answer outstanding questions

GOAL: Hamburg 1 Stoke 1 - Aaron Hunt It’s an equaliser from Aaron Hunt. That’s a good goal from Dan Skelton-lookalike Hunt. Ryan Shawcross had fouled Fiete Arp just outside the box and Hunt stepped up and curled a free-kick into the top corner. Shot on target = goal!

This definitely means Benji is correct and we'll be battling against a double relegation. I can hardly contain my distress after realising this, it's eating me alive.

Results dont really matter at this stage i guess, the lack of any sort of creativity outside of Bojan so far is a real worry though. Got a huge amount of work to do to bed in new signings ( hopefully ) & put together a cohesive unit in the next week or so.
