Just flicked over to ITV, gotta say I loved Roy Keane slagging off the ref, he's a scary bastard

No not for me. No chance of moving his hand away. France handed 2 goals ... No chance of moving his hand away from a ball crossed from twenty yards away. As clear a deliberate handball as you’ll ever see, he didn’t even slightly protest the decision, he knew. Agreed. All the pundits in the studio are full of shit, if they were still playing and that was against them they'd all be screaming for a penalty. How many penalties for handball are actually deliberate? Not many I'd say but it doenst make them not penalties.

Someone on the radio here said it should have been a yellow card to the player who tackled Griezmann before the 1-0 goal on free kick. But the former referee in the tv studio doesn't think so. He wouldn't even give the free kick. I agree with the former referee.

IMHO it was hand to ball and a definite penalty, Therefore, correct decision.

As pointed out elsewhere, they're only supposed to tell the ref to stop when he's made a 'clear and obvious error'. Was that a clear and obvious deliberate handball the ref missed? I'm not so sure.

Obviously, but that is the point. Hopefully the ref will look at his mistake and try to even things up but I doubt it. No way France deserve to be winning this, it makes you want to puke. If France keep defending corners like they are, Croatia might not need the ref!

Not a chance it was a free kick, no way was it a penalty. France are winning, but shouldn't be. Utterly ridiculous. It's a World Cup final ffs. I do agree , you should have to score a proper goal to win a World Cup , not one just gifted to you.

Disgusting In the heat of battle, it would have a consideration to walk off after that. One thing to get something wrong because of being unsighted, or interpretation. Another to see and have it confirmed from 6 angles that the laws of physics and biology compbined would need to be rewritten if Perisic had been deliberate in his action.

Ref hadnt got a feckin clue even after staring at it from every angle for 5 minutes, then going back again after apparently making up his mind. Absolute fucking joke.

The rate of change of the arm movement was key. As the ball came in Perisic was dropping his arm, as soon as it flicked off the head he increased the movement of his arm towards the ball to block it.
Very clever, although he thought.
Clear penalty.

victaims of the modern game and everything that is wrong in football today. Players not only know how to cheat, they also know how to make it look accidental. For me it was a penalty and credit to the Referee for making a brave decision.
Shearer is a hypocrite who pontificates on MOD, earns a fortune, and often talks rubbish..
If modern days players did not cheat as much, or to put it mildly, seek to gain an unfair advantage, so often we would not have so much controversy.

No not for me. No chance of moving his hand away. France handed 2 goals ... No chance of moving his hand away from a ball crossed from twenty yards away. As clear a deliberate handball as you’ll ever see, he didn’t even slightly protest the decision, he knew. Definition of deliberately = "done consciously and intentionally"... "careful and unhurried" So you are saying Perisic wanted to handle the cross from the moment it was struck? Indeed, he wanted to handle it at any point, so once he got his opportunity, that's what he did - after some conscious deliberation. And - in the biggest game of his life - he wanted France to have a penalty, just for the fun of it? If he was deliberate, he must have been motivated. What does your interesting logic assume his motivation was? (The challenge, the hell of it, because the ball feels nice to touch?) (And this was proven because he didn't protest?!... and not because either he was stunned or because he knew it would be pointless and his team mates were already protesting) Phew....

Weird half time report:
A former Swedish National team midfielder, now commentator in Russia, talked to A LOT of people during half time and says:
50% did think it was a free kick. 50% did NOT. Almost 100% thought it was NOT a penalty.
