We would all love to see a fit bojan recreating the form he showed for us before. Sadly he didn't show it when he was given game time and has had several loans where it just hasn't worked out for him. I would have huth back as emergency cover and part of the backroom staff

Hearing from a decent source that we definitely won’t be giving him a contract, we’re just helping him out (shame)

Hearing from a decent source that we definitely won’t be giving him a contract, we’re just helping him out (shame) No offence but why give him game time? We owe game time and fitness to our current contracted players not former players after fitness. He played because he's obviously trained well enough to convince the management that he might be worth a playing contract at stoke city

Just don't see why he'd play at expense of a contracted player.

All of our senior centre backs got 45 minutes each with Huth getting 45 also. Souttar played 45 and he's nowhere near is he? It screams of a dearth of options rather than a convincing training performance earning a contract, even though he may end up with one.

It wouldn't surprise me if we did sign him given we've been linked to Davies and Williams.

I really do not want to see a bloke as a fading star and idiots on here slagging him off That happens with Faye who for one season was one of the main reasons we stayed up. He was immense but sadly faded and forgotten This really smells of lessons not learnt again as we have injected little new blood and kept a load who took Even our new manager has stayed he is frustrated re lack of New recruits

If Huth proves his fitness it’s an absolute no brainier imo to give him a seasons contract

If Huth proves his fitness it’s an absolute no brainier imo to give him a seasons contract Completely disagree, then we will have 3 centre backs who are unlikely, given their injury histories, be able to play a full Championship season. Any new centre back we bring in MUST not have a history of injuries, big or small.

I cant think of one reason to not to have him back if he is interested in helping us out of the championship. Right attitude and the fact that he chose to come home to train shows where his allegiences are. We need grit and a desire to be here and he has shown both in spades.

Nothing wrong with treating him as a trialist, keeping him fit and also sxoping to see whether his is fit enough/quality enough for a short term contract. Can’t see any negative about this Huth situation at all

Paul McGrath and ledley King both had seasons where they were brilliant and barely trained may be Robert can do that in the championship Certainly we’d be a threat at set pieces at one end and not pussycats at the other .

If Curtis Davis had come that might have been different. If Chester signed that might be different. If Huth signs he would fill the gap between the first choice pair and the two youngsters. Can't imagine Cameron will stay.

I was gutted when we let him go. Whoever sanctioned it should have been sacked. I assume the person who sanctioned it also sanctioned letting him train with Stoke. If he is only training for fitness purposes what is the point in playing him in a pre season friendly? If we are thinking of signing him to play we are certainly not planning for the future. Sorry for any bad spelling but I am pissed.

He is totally past his best
But having seen the amount of goals scored and conceded from set pieces at this world cup , you could make a case for huth
The bottom line ... Whether you are attacking or defending somebody HAS to head the ball . Huth is no nonsense , he is going in where it hurts , and he is going to head the ball . However you look at it, that is a useful bloke to have on board

Totally changing the subject
I would like to see Ryan Sweeney in a couple of pre season friendlies
He is a little bit like huth
A bit slow ,but no nonsense and Happy to attack the ball with his head
I quite like a centre half, who is not backing down , and is going in with his head
Sooner them than me ! But I enjoy watching them !

Thought he lived in London, if he just wanted to train, you would think it would be at Leicester or Chelsea, or at least somewhere near home.
