Best of luck Marc

That's the sort of player we want. MacLean not in his league in anyway. Thanks Marc and good luck That is an awful post. Why bring another “potential” SCFC player into the equation, why not say if only Berahino had the same attitude? Your second sentence is completely unwarranted, I think (if signed) Maclean will be just as professional as MM

He fits the bill perfectly (1) as a professional and (2) as someone that will be remembered for his endearment to SCFC and its supporters.
I can think of several other supposed professional footballers who have been at SCFC over the last 5 years who could do with looking, listening and trying to emulate MM’s professionalism and respect for others
All the very best for the future!!!

Can you just imagine the outcry if a new Stoke signng announced such a farewell?? He'd be hounded out quicker than you can say "wear a poppy you cunt"

One of those players, like Crouchy, whose 'nice guy' personality shines through. The same Crouchy who was visiting prostitutes whilst his wife was expecting? I suppose we all have differing standards of behaviour. Perhaps because I don’t read tabloids or take much of an interest in the day to day moral shifts in celebrities’ behaviour, I must have missed that one. Please don’t assume that I would condone behaviour that I was even unaware of in the first place.

What have we done to deserve to let this guy go and have to keep wimmer. If he hadn’t been treated so badly by hughes we may have never signed wimmer as muni would have been happy to stay. This makes me sad everytime I think about it

One of those players, like Crouchy, whose 'nice guy' personality shines through. I met him with my youngest 2 at the City7's awards, were he did the presentations just after he'd joined us & you are so right. He has a radiance & my kids took him as their new favourite player after we lost Rory. Has anyone got a clip of that goal he scored for us & then had a psychotic episode(No offence to psychotic's, cause I know there are plenty on the OatcakeXx) Edit: Sorry, just found its been posted, ThanX

I agree that Crouch comes across as one of the good guys. Let him without sin.......

As others have said - Marc was and is a genuinely lovely human being. He goes with my best wishes. Technically a brilliant footballer who read the game fabulously. If he wasn't so injury prone he would never have signed for Stoke. Without his injury problems he would already be the rock in Barcelona and Spain's defence. I've never wanted someone to make it more than Marc - you could see there was such a good footballer in there but injuries prevented him being one of the world's best defenders. Unfortunately you just can't build a team with a player who spends as much time injured as fit. Him leaving is the sad but inevitable conclusion.
