For once ITV have nailed it. Keane and MON are compulsive viewing. Patrice was a slow burner but I love his infantile humour.

I enjoyed Keane and G. Neville together tonight too. If it's a choice between ITV and BBC I'll watch BBC with Radio 5 commentary and switch to ITV for Keane, MO'N and Neville if they're on.

MON just drones on and takes an age to make his point, can't be doing with it.

For me nothing ITV do can compensate for having to sit through all those tedious, almost infantile adverts.

ITV's highlights show is wank. No presenter. No pundits. Just a voiceover like one of those shit world soccer roundup programmes. BBC are fine until they start with the women commentators shit. Both have shit studios this year. Why do they both have a screen in the background rather than a window overlooking the scenery like at all other world cups. Looking out at Copacabana Beach in Brazil really added to the feeling that we were watching a world cup.

MON just drones on and takes an age to make his point, can't be doing with it. I don’t dislike him, and a program entitled ‘Martin O’Neill’s Football Memories’ would probably be a genuinely interesting watch. But the World Cup panel format really doesn’t suit him. ITV just seem to chuck a load of footballing personalities together without any thought as to how they’ll interact. The BBC, by accident or design, generally seem to get it right more often than not.

Keown, Dixon, Phil Neville, Iain Dowie, Murphy, Larsson, Upson. They're all gash. BBC wins because there's no breaks.

For me nothing ITV do can compensate for having to sit through all those tedious adverts. Not sure if you realise this but you don’t have to sit through them, you can stand up and walk around People are too harsh on ITV, it’s one of the few channels (only channel ?) which offer genuinely free football (no subscriptions or even taxes) yet people still complain.

ITV loses because they also have
Clive bloody Tildesley !
Jonathan Pearce, female commentator, I'd still take them anytime over having to listen to Clive bloody Tildesley
I really can't stand him or Glenn Hoddle. If they're commentating, the match is on with the sound off.

I was out driving while the Germany game was on so talk sport or 5 live was the choice, normally 5 live every time due to better signal so I plumped for them, until I heard another fucking woman commentating oh well over to crackly talk sport

Makes me chuckle when they have the ex- women players talking about spinning off and running in to the channels (etc) and players like Danny Murphy are looking at them gormlessly nodding.

The experience of watching football would be greatly enhanced by the absence of all commentators and so-called pundits. Surprisingly, that's what the people who sit near me in the Bet365 say! England always go out on ITV, but they are better this year. But I did like the montage of old pundits led by Brian Moore's forehead they showed yesterday. I had completely forgotten about "The Doog" pontificating and there was a clip of early Brian Clough almost backing down.

If they're commentating, the match is on with the sound off. I don’t mind the likes of Kelly Dalglish or the lady that was presenting yesterday and I can handle the ladies on the panel but that female commentator is awful. Being bought up on the likes of Brian Butler, Martin Tyler and Brian Moore it just doesn’t seem right. It sounds so unnatural when someone scores. I like most of the pundits. Linekers annoying though. Like Wrighty who doesn’t take himself too seriously and Keane because he’s unbalanced. I actually like both Neville’s. Would love to see Gazza on with Keane. See his reaction if he offered him a mince pie.

Love the way the likes of Danny Murphy sells himself off everywhere to whoever will have him.. He's usually found on Talksport or Sky Sports & as soon as the World Cup starts he appears for ITV! Sam Matterface who I do actually like as a commentator has switched his usual Talk sport commentary spot for ITV too..

But yes the basic premise is right they're all media whores! Anyone who works or wants to work in the media is a whore! 'Me Too'! Problem with pundits is they talk the same shit we do but get paid for it whilst living in 5 star hotels with beautiful girl who will do stuff! jealous, moi? Personally I hate Jenas! Listen right....

I switch the pundits off as a general rule but if I walk out the room and keep the game on and come back too soon then I will watch them.
Evra and Aluko have been dreadful.
I like O'Neil's ramblings.
And despite his cuntishness I thought Fabregas was ok too.
