We're keeping the long-term deals going then. Another 5-year job. Presumably it's a lot more manageable financially than some of our more interesting Premier League contracts! 5 is the new 3 !

Seems versatile, energetic and a decent footballer.
It'll be interesting to see what we have in store for him!

That's come from nowhere hasn't it, no hint from any ITK's. Never heard of him before so it's going to be interesting watching Nigeria in the World Cup. I'm as surprised as you are. It's almost as if those who claim to be ITK don't actually have a clue, and are deliberately vague so that they can claim knowledge/ownership when something does happen? Smashing signing anyway. Hope he has a stonking WC cup now.

What a load of rubbish. We all know that's Ben Fogle he's leaving in his wake.

He’s an attacking midfielder/left winger from what I can see. Maybe more of a Choupo replacement?? He's an attacking midfielder by the look of it and can score with both feet. Looks to be a busy player.

Be wary of this one folks.
He's Nigerian and 22? Yeah right, make that 37.
Watch out for scam emails coming from the club asking for your bank details as well. 😁
Welcome Oghenekaro Peter Etebo!! Just rolls off the tongue.

Seems versatile, energetic and a decent footballer. It'll be interesting to see what we have in store for him! Bottom of the diamond. Allen right of the diamond. Imbula left of the diamond. Bojan tip of the diamond. Afobe and Gray up front. Bauer and Joe Bryan signed for £6m from Bristol City bombing up and down the flanks It's going to be immense, I bumped into Rowett at the Saltbox Cafe and he told me over a pot of milky tea......

He sounds like another Joe Allen. Or another Badou? Is he a Rowett signing or a transfer team signing? Rowett has the final say on all signings and departures!

Hopefully a good signing, can't help feel we still haven't learnt our lessons in the transfer market though. He's coming from a portugese club who let him go out on loan despite being in a relegation battle, their previous highest fee they got for a player was 500,000 Euros and we smash that out the park with 7.2 Million. Hopefully Las palmas playing him at CM is what's transformed him into a better player. Crumbs I kind of wish you hadn't posted that , those observations are going to gnaw away at me right through the summer !

Looks good! A powerful, young international. Looks to have some fire in his belly too from the few videos I just watched.. just what we need for the championship.
Refreshing to just come on and see a signing out of the blue too.

Not the signing that I was hoping for, if he’s another Imbula then it has to be the end for Cartwright and co. I wonder how much input Rowett had? 5 years too? Still not learning our lessons on these transfer sagas, I hope he does well but I can’t hide how disappointed this signing makes me, I was hoping we had changed but it doesn’t look like it What if he isn't another Imbula though? What if he's the new Ngolo Kante? Why not just see how he settles in first rather than looking for the negative?

Etebo looks like the only midfielder in the Nigerian ranks that can run, pass, and tackle in higher percentages. Mikel can pass, tackle [sometimes] but he can’t run; Wilfred Ndidi can pass run and tackle but his passing ability is still terrible while Onazi can tackle and pass a bit, but he can’t run for his life. This means Etebo must play in front of the defence – with protection provided by Ndidi. Etebo, with his skill set, can escape the first press, which is the most important for the Croats and set Nigeria on the counter immediately. Sounds promising as I really date ndidi too

How does one pronounce his surname?
I've got Peter well perfected, but Etebo?
Et (like bet) Ee (like see) Bow (like 'and arrow')?

He has been described as a box-to-box midfielder who possesses boundless energy and is able to support defensive play in addition to his natural attacking talents. He is known for making runs from deep and arriving in the box from midfield to complete attacking moves. His versatility has also seen him play in the right-back position for both club and his national team. Off Wikipedia See Imbula!!!
