Looks like Pugh, plays like Whitehead or Russell - versatile squad player at best. With no pace. Agreed, if there is one thing virtually every midfielder and forward we sign this summer must have, it is pace. Yes, technical ability is a requirement, but we are so lacking in pace outside of Bauer and Diouf that it is our number one priority.

Spoke to a forest season ticket holder he said his best position was no.10 but he’s been filling in at CM and LB. He said he’s decent but not rapid. The move might suit him.

I'm struggling with this one: He looks "OK", even perhaps "A bit better than average". In CM, given we will probably lose at least one of Allen and Badou, don't we want players who are leaders here? Looking in the Champs - these would appeal more - particularly on the basis of being cheaper than Ben Pearson or Osborn, allowing us to spend more on the 4 front players/attackers we will need:- Luongo (QPR) - Strong, Aussie international ball winner playmaker. Highly regarded by fans. Started at Spurs and seen Championship for a couple of years. Started adding good goals/assists last year. Wanted by Palace, Malaga and Villa in April theworldgame.sbs.com.au/hot-luongo-targeted-by-trio-as-qpr-face-losing-midfield-maestroSaville (Millwall) - 10 goals from midfield last year, only valued at 1.5m on transfer market. Team player. Attack minded and links up with forwards. Only 24. Learned his trade in division with Millwall and Wolves before. footballleagueworld.co.uk/george-saville-praises-millwall-teammates-role-in-helping-him-thrive/Reach (Sheff Wed) - Unanimous player of the season. Very consistently good displays through thick and thin. Showed lots of leadership and given captain's armband (at 25). Weighed in with good goals footballfragmento.wordpress.com/2017/11/14/championship-players-out-of-contract-summer-2018/Meyler (Hull) - Just released - so a freebie. Despite looking 45, hes only 29. Off back of good season with 5 goals and 4 assists. Solid as a rock and good leader. Could add flair around him. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Meyler

www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/01/05/mike-mcgraths-transfer-notebook-everton-west-ham-fighting-gedson/Stoke and Millwall have shown interest in Ben Osborn but face a battle to land him on loan from Sheffield United Osborn, 25, has only made substitute appearances in the Premier League since his summer move from Nottingham Forest - but Chris Wilder wants to make sure he has plenty of cover for the second half of the campaign He has relied on Lundstram, Norwood and Fleck as his midfield three so far, but is expecting injuries and suspensions to be a factor

What about Markus Henriksen at Hull? One of their best paid players and former captain, but I don't think he has played much this season. Only 27, could be an option on loan if Allen leaves maybe?

There will be no problems with Henriksen who is a hard working player with a spot on attitude, he even has an eye for a goal. He was after all chosen as their captain!

That would have been a disaster.
