Born in southern tip of Cheshire (Malpas) and my dad had a soft spot for the town and it was Shrew On an absolutely unrelated point - my Aunt Molly had a farm whose postal address was 'Tilston, Malpas' - first time outside the family that I've ever seen the place mentioned! It is 42 years since i left Malpas but Malpas has never left me Tilston were our local rivals if they had a football team which was not to often

Shrewsbury are awful. Rode their luck on the penalty, didn't change anything and didnt give them the kick up the arse they needed. Could be 3/4 nil to rotherham at the end. They were both fucking awful neither side could string three passes together possession changing hands every couple of seconds, dross.

Shrewsbury were absolutely knackered, not surprising as they've played 60 games this season

Blimey Skem thats good going, well done you. I am 48 years a Stokie this year. Agroup of us all started supporting Stoke after `70 World Cup when Banksy was ill in 1/4s. The theory being if he was that important to his team they must never conceed hence never get beat. After a few weeks they all drifted back to Everton liverpool Man U and i just satyed with Stoke. My Dad thought it was a passing phase ! I was lucky that when 16 one of my brothers mates introduced me to his mate who was a Stokie and my first regular season of going was Durbans 78/79 promotion. Still my favourite season, possibly because it was good but also the first time i went regularly though my dad did brill taking me 2/3 games a season when Chester to Stoke was about twice as long as it is now. The first time i walked up the central arch on the Boothen (Night Game Sept 78 2-2 V Brighton) WOW ! In his later years my dad got Stoke a bit more and was made up when we got to Prem and was genuinely disappointed when we lost the cup final Skem

So did i still get a chill down my spine when i see him on t.v. in a Man Utd . shirt. most memorable match was against Reading in 87 when my son (Ritchie John) was mascot, loved walking down the tunnel and along touchline in my sheepskin jacket
