Other than having bragging rights over local rivalries who are perhaps in the football league, for me the Premiership sucks. Watching the 4th play off game today and ok the football is not exactly quality but it’s honest good old fashioned football how we used to know it from competiveness on the pitch and fans getting behind their teams

He bottled it for me today.
Why drop Bamford who has actually been on a decent run of scoring goals ?

If that lad up front who used to play for Forest took his chances it might have been a different game, Villa were not much better, and the early goal for them as always in a game makes an impact.

Say what you like about Pulis he was the reason we got in the prem in the first place yes he plays shit football but it worked for us. Kept us up and to a FA cup final Whats more, we were effective under TP - everyone knew their jobs, where they had to be and how to play it. Yes, it might have been 'reductive' football in the eyes of purists, but it allowed us to punch well above our weight for a good 3 seasons in the prem and keep our noses generally clear of danger when, on paper, we were probably the weakest side in there.

The 2 most defensive managers I have ever seen in my life. Pulis has more chance than us of being in the premier league next season . What a bizarre thing to say

More defeatist small time bollocks, typical of most stoke fans. Historically we are a top flight team, so we were never punching above our weight. ,

Because Preston were ace in the early 1900’s, does that make them a top flight team too? How about Royal Engineers?

Hopefully we will have an ownership like Man City, to give everyone another reason to hate us , for no other reason than being Stoke.

Aston plated really well. Boro are still in with a big shout but need to be more decisive and incisive in the attacking third. Teams don't shoot anymore. Which is silly.

That is the typical attitude of stoke on Trent people, small time doing down their club and building up other clubs, expecting little...I say this as a stoke on Trent person

Subtract 11 seasons = 119 seasons 61 spent in top flight = 58 not in top flight. Closer than you think, before this last 10 year spell we had spent more than half our time out of the top flight. Add in the grand total of 1 trophy won in all our history, and you can easily see how an argument could be made that we were punching above our weight.
