I actually find their mentality truly amazing. To care more for the fortunes of a team that’s not your own is simply baffling. I bumped into a couple of Vale supporting 'mates' the Monday after the Palace game and the first thing both of them said to me was that Saturday was "the best day of our lives". The fucking thick, small-time cunts.

If we finish 8th next year it would be somewhat of a disappointment. It would also match the greatest season in vale’s entire history. Just let that sink in.

The fucking thick, small-time cunts. Same, I know a couple of them, their exact words were “We got what we wanted”. They’ve just escaped falling into the fucking non-league by one point and they’re more concerned with us departing the premiership, into a league that they’ve never been in in their history either. Complete specimens of the highest order.

I am waiting for the inevitable 'not got a problem with the vale' and 'having 2 professional teams is good for the city' posts that appear on every thread criticizing our unwashed neighbours,oh,and how small minded some Vale hating Stokies are. Hope the tossers fold.

Not the most original idea but it's all harmless fun.
Still a bit of an anticlimax given they weren't confident enough to have a plane on standby last weekend. I'd have put the money down a month ago given how shit we are!
It would have made more of an impact for us to see it leaving the stadium + on live TV. Other than a couple of blurry photographs on Twitter most won't even notice it on a dull, overcast Saturday afternoon

If your gonna do something like that check the fucking fixtures first.

I am waiting for the inevitable 'not got a problem with the vale' and 'having 2 professional teams is good for the city' posts that appear on every thread criticizing our unwashed neighbours,oh,and how small minded some Vale hating Stokies are. Hope the tossers fold. I've not got a problem with Vale, but its nonsense about 2 professional teams is good for the city. It just isn't. Stoke council always have the worry of the impact helping one or the other brings, and while they helped Stoke (while an offer was on the table to Vale that they rejected) with our stadium back in the 90's the council got their money back. They helped Vale and it was £2m never to be heard of again. The disappearance to insignificance of Vale would be what is best for the area. A council that doesn't have to worry about some pissy voting habits as a result of decisions, or accusations of bias. A local population that has just 1 team to get behind, longer term it'd likely lead to higher attendances. Less police issues on weekends. The council wouldn't be losing money in a time of serious belt-tightening with its budget to silly things like subsidising a team that goes into administration on average every 7-8 years. Outside of the fact they already exist, there is little justification for Vale to exist.

You couldn't make it up. I was speaking to my mate who is a Vale fan and they had just been beaten by Forest Green Rovers the weekend we lost to Coventry. Even though that dropped them back into the relegation zone, they were on the bus back saying "it is alright lads, Stoke lost to Coventry." What kind of logic is that?
