Well that looks like Joe lining up his goodbyes!

Yet another player peddling the ridiculous myth that everything improved after Lambert came in but it was just too late. Absolute, utter nonsense. Have they all drank a strange brew of Kool Aid that makes them think 1 win in 14 is some kind of holy grail?

These players will not be here next season;
Joe Allen obviously & who would blame him. It's not about a sinking ship etc, its common sense. Jack Butland. Again as much as he does seem happy at Stoke, he's off to Liverpool. Xherdan Shaqiri. Rumour to West Ham but must be off to Europe surely his best option.
The Glenn Johnsons & Geoff Cameron's etc that are knocking on a bit & not getting games will be released.

Winning the player of the year award in a squad that’s been relegated must be like winning an award from a support group for having the least amount of herpes.

If they want out, let them go, shows how committed they are.

Well he’s here next season if that’s true as he isn’t good enough for a top six team

Well on the face of it he's not going anywhere then ... so why are we only HOPEFUL OF PERSUADING him to stay?

Percy seems to know a lot about a number of agreements in our staffs contracts or does he? Who is telling him this info? Did he respond to the Lambert contract?

Football is weird. Who on earth dreams up these clauses? Agents probably. If Allen's agent has come up with that clause, then Joe needs to get himself a new agent. In fact he needs to get himself a new agent anyway, for agreeing to that clause (which clearly came from SCFC) in the first place.

If the fee is £25m then I don't give a balls who buys him.

If the fee is £25m then I don't give a balls who buys him. Yes but I guess the clause is there, if clause it is , for his potential benefit not ours. So we can't stand in his way should the big boys come calling.

If the fee is £25m then I don't give a balls who buys him. Only a madman would agree to pay more than £10m for him. When was the last time he posed any kind of threat to the opposition in a game?

Allen will leave. He is a Premiership player, the Championship will not satisfy him at this stage in his career. As for contracts, Arnuatovic had four years left on his and he was able to walk away.

That caveat probably just means "Joe Allen is for sale, bit fuck off West Ham".

I think he might stay if the right manager is there and they make him capt obviously that means Shawcross has to leave or step down or a new manager has the balls to say "right I'm making Joe capt Ryan you concentrate on your football" It's a big ask of both players though
