Fuck me that is inspiring and I'm not even from Stoke. That would definitely fire up Dicko, shawcross, Rory etc, but do Shaqiri, Zouma or Bauer even know where Longton bus station is? Maybe in chasing the dream we forgot what got us here in the first place

My money is on Nick, who used to front the Stoke City Etc. podcast.
He was from Tean, appeared on Knot FM and Radio Stoke around the time of Pottermouth and used to do impressions on the podcast.
His Nigel Johnson impression was uncannily like Pottermouth.

How the fuck that place ever got a safety certificate is mind blowing !! Double decker bus engines running all in a confined enclosed building..

Maybe in chasing the dream we forgot what got us here in the first place Or we moved on from players who weren't good enough. Of those 2 sets of players you've given, the second lot are on a fair few levels above the first lot, possibly bar Shawcross.

I heard a rumour, several years ago, that it may be The Trent Vale Poet. Not sure if there’s any truth in it ...

The second lot would have even relegated him

The battlecry would be lost on this lot, it was of its time. The club and supporters were together as one. What a great show it was on radio stoke this evening. Had this old toerag laughing and crying. Great memories. 23 years of blood sweat and tears thrown away.

Ey up, In case you're interested, we've done an interview with Nick Thorley about Pottermouth, Radio Stoke, Cardiff 02, the battle cry, the reaction to it, Stoke City Etc. Hopefully adding a bit more to the Radio Stoke documentary (and there's some clips from around the time on there, as well has his amazing Cardiff mix right at the end) He's a brilliant bloke with some cracking stories, and got such a passion for Stoke and radio. We've spoken to all sorts of people, players, ex-players etc but this is our favourite interview we've done. Listen here: soundcloud.com/user-602020638/99-wizards-meetnick-thorley-aka-pottermouthOr here:

Anyone notice Liverpool ripped it off using a kid giving the same sort of battle cry for the final (they lost..)
