Up until last night I thought we would get out of it - but I have to say I now think we are gone, gone, gone, and not just for a single season either...

Yes, it's not mathematically impossible.
But realistically, in my heart, I just can't see it now. The last two games were vital. We were unlucky not to come away with a point from the Spurs game and well, yesterday was just one of those. We worked hard, tried hard, but our players were technically miles off West Ham's, which really shows the gulf in our ability seeing as they're near the bottom.
Furthermore, staying up might be an absolute disaster. Imagine what happens when we lineup with the same team next season in the Premiership? Let's rebuild and start again. Might be another 30 years before we get back in the Prem, but we've enjoyed 10 decent years in the Premiership and that's all we can hope for I guess.

Were gone - to be honest, I can't see us winning a game for the rest of the season, let alone 4 which, even then, would only give us half a chance.
What's needed now is a thorough clean out of all the old-timers and shirkers otherwise I could honestly see us doing a Sunderland.
Unfortunately, I fear Coatesy and co will keep Lambert and hand out extensions like confetti....

Hellu! On one hand we can actually win all four games and still get relegated if the other results are against us. On the other hand, we can actually SURVIVE in the PL if this happen: Stoke-Burnley 1-0 Liverpool-Stoke 4-0 Stoke-Crystal P 2-1 Swansea-Stoke 0-0 and simultaneously, all the other results went our way, like the crucial one Swansea-Southampton 1-2. Play around with the PL table calculator. You'll find it at www.worldfootball.net👍 oatcake, apple juice and milk//:musik

If, by some miracle, we manage to stay up then what will life be like next season with the present ownership? We have a squad of players that don't belong in the Premiership with one or two notable exceptions who will want transfers this summer. Shaq has again said he wants away and Butland won't stop.
Our best hope is a sale of the club to someone who will support it financially, probably a foreigner. Sad, but that's the way life in the Premiership is going at the moment.
The club needs a clear out starting at the top. What we do with those Hughes' signings I don't know. They will struggle in The Championship and are pretty much unsellable.

Yes, and these two facts are the weirdest in this whole situation. As an outsider, for long I've wondered: how come footballers almost never ever come up to their full capacity when they're at Stoke? The potential they had before and after they were at Stoke. No matter if they're good for top teams or they represent their national teams. At Stoke, something happens. What?

Hi Musik Pulis took an average bunch of players and drilled them endlessly. They may not have been the best but they were the fittest and worked as a squad. Pulis took no nonsense from any player: "Watching a naked Tony Pulis headbutting James Beattie in a dressing room brawl has been described as 'a spectacle' by Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross... ...It's thought to have broken out after Pulis cancelled the players' Christmas party due to poor performances, which Beattie took exception to" www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/stoke-city/11839712/Ryan-Shawcross-reveals-all-on-naked-Tony-Pulis-headbutting-James-Beattie.htmlThe current regime at Stoke is (or was) somewhat different. It has been reported that players used to shot off to Birmingham or Manchester for lunch arriving back late. I don't know how true this is but it wouldn't surprise me. In addition some of the players are unfit (unbelievable at this level) and the speed with which some of them move on the pitch would suggest quite a few of them fall into this category. The rot seems to have set in with senior management and seeped down into the club.

Yes it is possible that Stoke can stay up. The harder question is will stoke stay up - that is looking increasingly like a no

We have all seen relegation seasons and the signs and this one epitomises it. We are down. we had the apologists spouting the 3 ninth place bollocks even this season like Nero they carried on fiddling as the flames were licking around their feet wankers the lot of them. Include the board of directors etc. in that and I prefer to think of it rather like the powers-that-be on the Titanic - blithely carrying on as the ship ploughed on into the ice field and then relied on the "unsinkable" myth even as the water poured in. We're now at the stage where each missed opportunity to win makes it a harder mountain to climb and those water-tight compartments are all but filled up - the bit in the movie where the spine of the ship is at snapping point and we're about to slide beneath the waves.

I reckon by the last game of the season we will need to beat Swansea to stay up

I can see us rallying, followed by a conclusion like going down on goal difference, only one point behind 15th or 14th. 36 points could be enough.
If we are still in the hunt at 5 May that's as good as it can get right now.

I reckon by the last game of the season we will need to beat Swansea to stay up I’m holding on to that. The way results have gone it would not surprise me if on the final day we both need a win. It’s a shame a west Germany v Austria situation could not manifest itself I’d take beat Swansea to stay up right now. Tbh I’d have taken that in January

I’d be amazed if we weren’t mathematically gone before the Palace game. Prepare yourself for being amazed. Theoretically, we can still lose vs Burnley and Lpool and avoid relegation. It is all about what happens in other matches, Swansea-Southampton for instance. I really think it will be a last game decider.

Don’t quite know what you mean by this musik... there are absolutely tons of players down the years who have played their best football for Stoke but not done much at other clubs. And vice versa of course - just like any other club.

We can (in theory) but we won't.
Whether you blame Hughes, Lambert or both; to stay up we need to win games. Unfortunately we look the least likely side in the entire division to do that with our terrible strikeforce, and tactical set up with a whole two players whose main purpose is to create and score goals rather than defend or keep it tight.

If we can't beat Southampton, West Ham, etc. we have no chance against Burnley who are knocking on the door of European football and one of the best organized teams in the Prem. The same logic says West Brom can't win at Man U and after immediately beating Man C there is no way Liverpool can lose at Swansea. Of course we can stay up, will we stay up is a different question altogether the answer to which will be much clearer after Sunday

Think the answer is no. We could win all of our games but if those above win theirs we're fooked. All I'm hoping is that Hughes is so consumed with the cup that they go down too Southampton getting relegated with us will help my pain 100%

We can but the stats say we won't. Over the ten years we have punched above our weightfor most of them. The league table will show Stoke have not won enough games, so llet's re group, get rid of the players with no fight, the same for the supporters, and we will be ow rate.

We need at least two wins and a draw. Huddersfield to gain no more points , concede plenty of goals. We do have a good squad. More likely to be west Brom and Huddersfield . Then Southampton or Swansea. Depending on their match result, when they play each other. So no then Seriously I don’t think 2 wins and a draw will be enough - 3 wins are required with our GD
