Hmm, top 5 I’ll give you, ever....... that’s just too subjective. What did he win?, how high in the league did he ever get? Who were his top 4 top flight signings? The look at the other great former Stoke managers’ records. You don't have to win something to be the best. Let me ask you a question - If Jose won the league with manchester united and all the money in the world. Or paul lambert took a club from league 1 to the premier league and stabilised them with little/no money... who's the better manager? Why do you think Mourinho is managing Man Utd in the first place?

Never regularly attended due to my old man and myself working Saturdays until last year, and I’ve been watching since I was around 8 years old, so 17 years and counting. And I can explain because this is a man who tried to defraud Crystal Palace out of millions of pounds and was found out, throws his toys out of the pram when he can’t get his own way, ostracises players he doesn’t like, completely took the piss out of us on his return here with West Brom, and has done ever since, people talk about him as if he’s some sort of god, he’s a massively out of touch with modern football totalitarian, who loves to dabble in a spot of fraud every now and again and spins everything to make him look Teflon, when in reality he’s a spiteful individual who’s successfully burned his bridges at every single club he’s ever managed at. As much as we agree on Hughes and his oxygen thieving, no matter what you say about Pulis he's our best manager ever. Don't be stupid.

See Middlesbrough getting in play offs. West Brom r down and stoke. Pulis laugh last We were up shit creek in his last season. You could sense the players weren’t on board no more if some fans were. Another season and we’d have gone then Fans and players were of similar mind at West Brom if you think continuing with that kind of atmosphere at a club is going to be successful you’re deluded. Look what happened when the Coates family continued with Hughes this season instead of seeing the signs last season and acting fast.

The statement made was “best Stoke manager ever” so let’s not cloud the issue. Waddo took Stoke from 2 nd division, with very limited resources established the team in the top flight, won the only “major” trophy in Stoke’s history, reached 2 FA Cup semifinals, achieved 2 5th placed finishes, managed the club for 17 years and if it hadn’t been for the Butler Street stand roof blowing off, who knows what else. Bob McGrory almost won the top flight twice and probably would have if there hadn’t been a little 7 year interruption in his reign.. Lou Macari is a great example of a manager who never achieved much but is held in high regard. Like I said, I won’t disagree that Tony Pulis is one of our top 5 managers ever, but best ever? I doubt it.

Because some fans are determined to view Pulis as some sort of genius pragmatist, when the reality isn't quite that cut and dried, as evidenced particularly at WBA. I take it your a Baggies supporter then. If not what the fuck raise WBA? A Baggies fan? Oh dear. Mention another team and you have secret allegiances? Er, no. What I mean is that all managers have history or recent context, and Pulis' includes his time at West Brom.

Best manager we have had at Stoke by a mile since Waddo. The guy is a legend. He has pottermouth's battle cry hung up on his wall at home. if that doesn't show he loves stoke i don't know what does even after all these years.
