In the last 5 seconds ramadan did more than shitto-moting did all game Normally comments like this are a bit throw away, but you’re spot on malteser that run inside was far more positive than anything choupo did. I recall he played it back to steffi twice and had a few headers

The first person who says ‘that was a good result’ to Me tomorrow gets a slap I would agree with that if we were as good as Man city,

Tonight was like a boxer caught on the ropes, a second away from a stoppage. The only difference in this analogy is that we are punching ourselves in the face as well as getting hit by the opponent

What a fucking miss BMI - and fucking Moting stays on FFS Do you honestly think Jese had a good game? He didn't have a game. He just made up the numbers. Not his fault.

Amazing what in excess of £400 million gets you, isn't it? 😜 It is isn't it - I feel sorry for the shit-faced bastards that have shoulder the burden of ruining this season's PL competition and, further, that they can't spend another £700m million to bolster their 3rd team squad. This league is infested with stinking and rich money merchants that are slowly strangling the game. I pray that these greedy bastards eventually decide to piss off and form a European league. Then we can all get on with enjoying some honest football, not infested by foreign mercenaries. Rant over - for now. They need to fuck off and form an elite league or something. Most clubs in the prem can't match spending like that. Depressing.

Choupo must be the first player ever to watch Shaq and think ... The man's running around like a lunatic . There is putting a shift in but that's ridiculous . Take a chill pill

Take it and move on.
Do our players get extra bonus money every time they pass it back to Butland though?

Take it and move on. Do our players get extra bonus money every time they pass it back to Butland though? This was the one disappointing aspect of our game for me. The full backs didn't attempt to get the ball forward when given the chance

Are the front three supposed to Magic the ball? Most of the time they are engaged in chasing lost causes. This is because of the quality of the side we are playing. Fans need to cut our players some slack! I am pleased that we have looked reasonably well organised and Man City have not created that much. What is sad is that on the bench we have absolutely no one who is good enough to come on to the pitch.

We have to go two up top Saturday otherwise we won't score
I'd play Couch and Jesé - try and nick a lead then move it back to a 4-3-3
Got to try a different approach if we are to get a win as a draw is going to be no good

I thought that our back four and Allen and Badou all did ok . Cameron struggled a bit but our trouble are the forwards none of them put enough in and there seems little sign of any of them scoring the goals to keep us up. Not the best game to judge them but I think Lambert has to look to try Sobhi and gamble by maybe dropping Cameron to allow 2 up front if we are to win the three or four games that we need to .

Lambert is a coward for not going for this one - Jese(striker he may have been, not anymore.) was in Kompany's pocket and Choupo Moting (striker he isn't.) was folded neatly up in Otamendi's and jogged about aimlessly letting his man go.
I understand the difficulty in trying to press Man City but the team we finished with is the team we shouldve started with apart from shaqiri coming in behind the striker/ on the wing.
We did not go for it. In a game like this with a GD as bad as ours a 4-0 is as bad as a 2-0 we only really got going around 88 minutes.
Jack was ok, At fault for the second. Some seriously hazardous backpasses from the centre halves, Jo was good Fullbacks did ok considering their task.
But Choupo moting could not give less of a toss about his defensivre work - and you lot thought arnoutovic was bad for it...
Extremely poor, No plan B, No desire to try and attack them.
We deserve relegation.

I'm fully aware that we're playing the champions elect who have a team, nay, squad full of world beaters but my god we're woeful.
We offer absolutely nothing whatsoever in the final third and it's obvious that there's nowhere near enough goals in this side to stave off relegation.
This past decade has had its thrills and spills but I'm now fully prepared to watch another 20 odd years of players who can only dream of being as good as Daryl Russell.
Thanks Stoke, Peter Coates, Jon Coates, Tony Scholes, Hughes, Lambert, the fucking tea lady, Macron, that bloke who honks "Mighty, Mighty Potters' before the game, and that miserable bloke at the ticket office. You shower of red and white bastards.

The brutal truth is tonight was a matter of choice , our owners paid a dividend as big as Manchester City’s summer spending , totally entitled to do so but to suggest they are in a different league may be true but it’s neither an accident of fate , nor a incontrevenable fact , it’s totally a matter of choice on our behalf to have let them and nineteen.other teams outspend us fior three of the five years and 15 for the other two . Equally would our transfer team have delivered similar relative returns had they been given £200m of course not and therefore under investment and nepotism and tolerating incompetence have let City and 20 others leave us behind , totally a outcome of choice , we have through choice and incompetence put ourselves out of the worlds most lucrative league , the question is who will be held accountable anc what will be done .

Against a side like City no team in the prem is going to outplay them. If the plan was to go over the top of their defence then play pace up top... don't play Jese. If the plan was to be direct and the number 9 to hold up the ball... don't play Jese. Burnley got a result against them playing direct football - we should've started Crouch, played direct and got stuck in.
Jese was awful. No idea what he offers the team and no idea how he's been at the clubs he has. No pace, no strength and no quality.
Very impressed with our right side - Bauer and Shaq put a shift in and felt we had a chance against Zinchenko. Shi*e on the left though. Stafylidis too wide, out of position and let sterling get inside too many times.
We need to win at least 3 of the remaining games to stand a chance. Everton? Palace? Burnley? from the home games. Knick something away at West Ham and Swansea? Still have a chance!

IMO not a bad performance, Jese is NOT a lone striker,we've played him that way before and it has never worked.
First goal was preceded by a blind assistant who didn't see the ball was clearly out for a throw in and the second was losing the ball stupidly on the half way line and Zouma way out of position. Doesn't affect the result but I would love to hear the refs excuse for not booking their left back and goalkeeper for knocking the ball way on throw ins, top six bullshit as usual!

Reflecting on the game now, 2-0 is respectable. I actually thought our back 4 kept Jesus, Sane and Sterling quiet. And N’daiye did a job on De Bruyne. Silva’s movement caused us the problem. He left Fernandinho will all the space, and when Allen closed him down, it left Cameron too mark silva. And for a player that plays in a central role to Mark a lad who drifts all over the pitch is near impossible. Because he’s the one who caused all the problems. But we attacked them, we had 3 big chances. One good block from the defender but I think Ederson had covered. One that he did well to get back and put over the bar. And the best chance in my opinion was the bmi chance, I don’t care if you’re 18 or 40. Striker or goalkeeper, you need too hit the target from there. All in all, a good result. Our goal difference hasn’t taken a beating and I think that’s the thing it’ll come down too at the end of the season. People in here are saying it was a poor performance, and that he should be dropped and he should be replaced. Well I thought all players played well yesterday. We looked poor against the best team in the country, probably top 5 in the world. They make some of the best teams in the world look silly, so little old stoke in 19th place is a very good result. I don’t think anyone deserves too be dropped. Stop looking at negatives. Choupo was shit, well he won every header against Walker. Jese didn’t chance, no player can run for 60 minutes against there defence. We’ve had worse teams then this turn us over this season. Bournemouth At home, Newcastle at home, West Ham at home. Stop moaning, they’re the best team in the league. We weren’t going too win. The big games against Everton.

I have to agree with Neville. The two goals had issues leading up to them, but Butland should have done better with the first and should have stayed on line for second and let defenders close silva down. No way would he have scored. Having said that they could have scored more if they wanted to so result would have been the same.

Nothing wrong said about Ramadan who I think should have played instead of Jese with C-M on top, but I really feel the critisism of C_M is a bit unfai this time. Jese on the other hand! My God what a waste!

Just watching the highlights of the game on Sky. Shows how much of a lack of interest they have in Stoke - they still think we're set piece kings. "Stoke are dangerous from set-pieces, especially corners"

In fairness we hardly expected any different they are on a different level at the moment. We worked hard but it must be depressing when you chase someone down, win a tackle and pass to Jese only for him not to give a single fuck as to what happens next.
