Our current kit design is one of the best two or three we’ve had in fifteen or twenty years.

As long as TS is still chief exec adiddas would laugh us out of town. Based on what? Along with any reputable sportswear manufacturers believe me, there’s a reason why we ended up Macron. On and off the field decisions the blokes an absolute bell end.

Your opinion influenced by rabid posters on here or actual personal knowledge of the man's business acumen or insider knowledge of the reputable sportswear manufacturers you refer to?

Along with any reputable sportswear manufacturers believe me, there’s a reason why we ended up Macron. On and off the field decisions the blokes an absolute bell end. There is yes, Macron gave us a bespoke kit, better assurances on supply and a better deal financially. People may scoff at Macron but they’re making headway not only in football but in other sports. There’s some element of snobbery here as they’re not one of the most “fashionable” brands, but if the alternative is an off the peg identikit with a less favourable financial deal just because it’s Nike or Adidas why would we take it?

Even though Macron have served up some stinkers, I think the home and away kit this season have been decent.

Our current kit design is one of the best two or three we’ve had in fifteen or twenty years. Agreed Maybe the quality of material isn't? Quality has been very good in my experience. I honestly don't understand the stick Macron gets on here. I've really liked the majority of the designs and, in my opinion, they've all been better than the lazy, indentikit crap Adidas churned out for us. As Prestwich said, I think a lot of it is brand snobbery.

The purple/black training gear is excellent and the quality is decent. My two lads wear nothing else and they still look as good as new.....

First Season woth macron: Home - Shite and the colar looked cheap Away - okay but holographic ‘S’ behind the badge was poor
Second: Home - okay......but the holland flag on the collar was awful Away - Shite. Worst kit ive ever seen. Printer ran out of ink.
Third: Home - Pretty smart. Can’t argue with keeping it simple and it looked decent
Away - Same again pretty smart. Simplicity works with macron if they try something edgy it always looks wank.

Unfortunately it'll always be linked as a relegation shirt although not to the extent the pin striped umbro shirt was. Didnt like last season's blue away top when first saw it but it did grow on me & thought it was actually ok in the end. The white 3rd shirt with the same design was smart too although was hardly ever worn.

I personally just thought that it was abit of an awful design feature also the macron man on the shoulders is vile. Id like umbro to take over or hummel they have very nice kits and you’d imagine we’d get bespoke stuff made for us

I think Macron get the stick on here because we cut our deal with NB short, who gave us our best home shirt for years, to go with a brand with a relegation curse that gave Palace and Bolton some horrid kits.
The curse caught up with us but the kits haven’t been as bad as I was expecting. Rather have stayed with New Balance though.

Just seen that myself. Black and red one not too shabby, but I would love a black and green striped away kit

I can’t stand blue trim on the home kit, it has no place on the kit IMO. I think macrons efforts have been hit and miss prior to this season, (mostly miss). The quality of the logos on the sleeves and the sponsor leave a lot to be desired and come off too quickly.

Nothing else matters.

Red and White stripes + Green and Black stripes. Nothing else matters. Nice idea but when was the last time we had stripes on both the home and the away shirts? I think the away shirt tends to be plain so there is an alternative which can be worn out and about without you looking like the court jester.

That would be the Adidas era when we had the Barca colours on our 150yr away top & the season before that the Inter Milan blue & black stripes. Definitely due a green & black striped away top..

Good call, I forgot that one and I actually have the pseudo Barca shirt virtually unworn!
