We've won 1 in the last 9 and that included a plethora of easy home games. There is no way we will win 2 of the next 3, not an earthly. 4 wins and a draw by my reckoning. Think we could do that especially we can fluke one of the wins. Emirates anyone?

Failing to win any of the home games against west ham, newcastle, watford, brighton.
Awful. Truly awful.
And results haven't improved under lambert.
We have no chance of winning enough games to survive.

Very disappointing And in spite of everything, if the owners had just spent a bit of money getting a striker in, we probably would have an extra 3-4 points from the last five games. Pathetic from the owners. Shower of bastards

Amazingly Everton's away record is worse than ours. If we do win next week we should have a right go against Everton.

I think we are capable of beating Southampton and Everton, but we are masters of calamity at the moment and seem great at rescuing defeat from the jaws of victory. Watched Everton today, and they looked pretty dire, in fairness. Do you think we are down, Coop?

We’ve won 6 fucking games all season.
We can live in hope but the fact is we are where we should be.

A win at Southampton is a must not only for our position on the table but for the players confidence.
A win v Everton would be sensational but a point would not be a disaster.
So I would take 4.
With our goal difference we will need 36 to stay .
We née need 3 wins and a draw from the last 10 games.
Southampton/Burnley/Palace and a draw against Everton will see up not have to take a point at Swansea on the last day.
We are playing well enough to pull it off but we can’t miss penalties and our goalkeeper score an own goal

1-0 up at Bournemouth with 15 (ish) minutes left - lose 2-1 - 3 points lost. 1-1 at home tin brighton in the last minute - miss a penalty - 2 points dropped. 1-0 at Leicester with 20 minutes to go - howler leads to equaliser - 2 points dropped. Those 7 points are the difference between the relegation zone and relative mid table comfort. Hopefully, the fitness work they’re doing with Lambert will reap some rewards in the next 5 games or so. This. It’s most bizarre. The first 70 minutes are a different game compared to the last 20. At least in the Leicester game we know it was due to the poor subs.

As I see it, 6 points from the next 9 available are an absolute must. If we don't get them, we are down. Crunch time is upon us. Considering we have the worst away record in the country and then have the task of taking on Manchester City, I'm struggling to see where those six points are coming from. Whether we like it or not, the crunch has already been and gone. One win from Watford, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Brighton and Leicester has pretty much sealed our fate (barring a miraculous turn of form)

Well, Palace were definitely down after 7 games and Udders definitely looked dead and buried after we beat them a few weeks back. Ditto Swansea.
Nothing's settled.

Its impossible for any football fan to wonder what the table could or should look like (a romantic fool's errand), but those most recent seven points dropped is so maddening its untrue.

A point at Southampton, a loss against Citeh and win against Everton (who have terrible away form) will still see us alive Dave.
I'd take those three results as it stands at the minute.

6 pts from last 5 games. If we continue and pick up 12 points in the last 10 games then we'll survive.
We've also had some bad luck in the last 2 games, dropping 4 points. So getting 2 wins from the next 3 games isn't a must.
