Looks like he's not gonna be offered a new deal at Man City.
Good be a good shout, he's 30 now so maybe a 1 or 2 year contract would do it?
Another one for full back I was thinking was that Tunisian - Hatem Trabelsi - dont know where he is these days though. Anyone?

Trabelsi has a serious attitude problem, he's said that he thinks he's up there with the world's best players and is definitely a player that plays for himself, not the team, exactly what we don't need IMO.

The problem is as captain of China he looks good as an attacking right winger/midfield. (I know the standard etc) but he's played as a left back in the Prem??

Jihai - Haven't seen him play for about 12 months so probably no. Trabelsi- Wasn't he at city too? He got left out by Pearce because he was basically a big headed cunt for want of a better phrase?

Was mentioned on here about 3 weeks ago Biddulph -not sure on him personally. Not the worst player in the Prem by any stretch and a decent utility player. 50/50 on this one

Have just received the most depressing run-down on him, from a Machester City S-T supporter and friend.
So many bad points, that I can't take up the space on here and am now praying that we don't take him on.

The jihai rumour was also in the new's of the world about a week ago .
He'd be a very good signing for us .I know a man city fan very well who said he'd do us a good job . Also 2 liverpool season ticket holders I know did say from what they'd seen of him he was a good player .
We have got to be realistic when we talk about signing players . we're not going to attract the real big names so the likes of jihai who has played alot of premiership games for a good side would be ideal .

www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1053335_sun_set_for_his_blues_sunsetSun set for his Blues sunset Chris Bailey 10/ 6/2008JIHAI Sun could be heading for either Stoke or Bolton as Mark Hughes begins to evaluate the squad he inherited from Sven-Goran Eriksson. The China international's contract runs out at the end of this month and he is unlikely to be offered another one.
Early interest from Burnley now seems to have waned but it appears the 30-year-old utility man will still have a choice of clubs close to his Manchester home should he choose to stay in this country.
Blackburn and Preston could also still offer a fresh start for a player who clocked up nine league and cup starts last season but managed an impressive 130 in his five-year stay with City. He has 66 caps for his country and is one of the most popular sportsmen in China.

If it helps warm the Brit up a bit then we should definately get him!

Would be a decent signing for our first year, if only for his flexibility to play in numerous posistions which could be important if we take a gamble on a few injury-prone players e.g. Gardner.

- John Halls WTF?
Good skills on the ball but simply cant defend. - at all - makes Broomes look like Psycho Pearce. Easily the worst adult player I have ever seen when it comes to tackling.
