My wife has just said we could go down again next season. I said yeah probably at which point she said "at what point will you not bother". I've picked my golf clubs up and gone out to the driving range before I killed her Sorry Dave but that is too funny.

I have since 1968 and whilst I would like to share your views there are so many things now (far to many to list on here) that mean we will be in the championship next season. However being stone cold sober this afternoon I think that will be a chance (which I hope is taken) to regroup refresh and stabilise the team. We should have a blend of young players with one or two experienced heads to guide them. Anything’s better than the dross that’s currently being served up as football

Yes I like this.
Undefeated in the last 1 game Only lost one in four Great right back A midfielder who fights with pace Can only go one further down in the league
Come on we can do this 😀😀😀💪🏻👊🏻

Newcastle beating the shit hasn't made it any easier. It's getting worse with every passing game. I was optimistic a couple of games ago, now I think we are in big trouble. The Championship is likely now, and I hate saying that.

After 14 years of marriage mine still asks why I have to go out 3/4 hours before kick off. They just don't get it! Just book a table for Valentines Evening. If she likes snooker it’s a bonus.

All the teams at the bottom keep snatching unlikely wins here and there....except us. We're the ONLY ones not doing it.
We're rubbish at everything, the players don't give a shit...we are absolutely done for. We are not coming back from this.
Get ready for twenty plus years in the championship or worse - this club is going nowhere but downwards under current leadership.

We do have a good enough team to do it....like yesterday things havent gone for us with balls off the line missed pennos etc....and other games late goals Its not that we are a bad team like sunderland were last season. Who were a cert long before the end of the season We need things to go more our way....You cant train for luck I admire your optomism and looking at the table there is still hope..but...Unless something drastic happens I honestly don't see where the points are coming from to save us...also taking into account our appalling GD. We are gone.

Those two lost points yesterday changes everything, had we got those there was still a good chance. Now I think it will take something special from us, but I don't see it happening.

I keep seeing it written on here about how we're already down, how it'd be a miracle if we stayed up etc.
But the facts are, we're two points away from 15th, 3 points away from 13th and 6 points away from 10th (FFS).
I get it, we're in a shit situation and it's something we've luckily not been used to over the past decade but I don't understand why the fans have given up? It's still well within our own power to stay in the league.

We're a team riddled with shit and unfit footballers managed by second rate manager and a conference level coaching team. Sleep tight.

we're STOKE CITY as a whole, thats players, board, staff and fans. we win together, we lose together, we enjoy good times together and should stick together in bad times. Yes we're deep in the shit but we only get out of this together. Until its mathmatically impossible, forget whats gone on over the last 18 months and do everything we can to get the points needed to stay up. yesterdays point felt far worse than any other defeat we've had this season, a proper kick in the bollocks and everything is going against us at the moment but we ALL have to hope, believe and be positive. We can do this !!!!
WE ARE STOKE !!!!!

The reality is when you break down the remaining fixtures we are going to have to beat someone away or beat either spurs or Man City at home
I think both scenarios are unlikely !

Just come to terms with it , it's alot easier we have been down for months, and if you honestly think we will bounce straight back then either you are drunk or mad,ask villa, Sunderland,Hull,Norwich,QPR,how many more examples do you need

In 2014-15 Leicester were a dead cert for relegation. There fight back started on 4th April, followed by champions the next season.
Never, never give up. Lambert will turn things round.

Unfortunately it looks like at least 37 pts will be required to stay up this season, which either means 3 or 4 wins. I just don't think this team has it in them.

In the first half of the Bournemouth game, we probably put in our best 45 away from home all season. Yesterday we would have walked away with all 3 points if Adam wasn't such a fat shit. I'm not hiding the fact that we're shit. We are. But so are half of the league. I just don't see the need to throw the towel in quite yet.

I accepted the inevitable after the Bournemouth game and now I feel quite relaxed about it. We are definitely going down.
I've started scouting players for next season. I like John Mcginn of hibs to replace Allen.

I don't want to throw in the towel, it's just looking less and less likely that we'll stay up. If we can't win at home against Brighton, I think that says it all.
