PL: I think everyone is OK in terms of injuries. They had yesterday off and will be back in today. We'll have a closer look at them later. PL: We have spoken about all different sorts of players. I need to be fair to the lads already here though because they are a talented group. They just need a little bit of help with one or two players. PL: We need to be better as a team and stronger at defending all over the pitch. If we have more competition in places then we will be better equipped. PL: I haven't spoken the lads out on loan yet. It is something we will address and go from there. PL: I never once had a problem with Stephen Ireland at Aston Villa. I know he's a real talent. Like everyone else here he will get a chance. He is someone who can make things happen. PL: I will have nerves as normal on Saturday but as soon as the whistle blows they will disappear. I'm looking forward to it because I know it will be a great atmosphere. PL: I've not had time to sleep just yet because everything has been go, go, go but I'm really enjoying. PL: I managed against Huddersfield Town last season and David Wagner has assembled a good team. We know it will be a tough game but will be going out in win, just like in every match. PL: We will try and give the team ideas heading into the game. We need to get back to basics in the next two days and hopefully pick up three points on Saturday. That what everyone wants - a win at the weekend. PL: I think Mark Hughes did a brilliant job here, just like Tony Pulis before him. This is probably the first time the Club has found itself in this position in the past 10 years. PL: Ryan Shawcross trained on Tuesday and we will see how he's feeling today. Glen Johnson trained on Tuesday. Jese won't be available at the weekend due to personal reasons.

Jese won't be available at the weekend due to personal reasons. Surprise Surprise. Fuck him off now. I thought I read that his loan had been terminated? I feel bad for his situation with this son, but we need players that are going to be available and in the right mental state to fight for us.

I did feel sorry for him, but not really anymore, hes been away for god knows how long? His contract should be terminated, like any employer would do. Now this might sound horrible or selfish & I'm probably going to get people to bite my head off but stoke are more important to me than Jese or his son. We need players that can play for us, right now, due to the position we are in. If you cant commmit, pack your bags.

It'd be easier all round if he said: sorry my son comes first, I can't play for the foreseeable future, I'll cancel my contract with no financial penalty either way. It can't be he needs the money that badly?

I have got other stronger opinions on this situation but i think i'll keep them to myself this time. What are the chances we will sack him off and have to pay him a fee because we've terminated his contract? Would just be laughable.

It would be better if he terminated due to his personal situation, allowing us to be relieved of the financial commitment and free up a loan space. What's your thoughts on Bojan coming back for another go?

What's your thoughts on Bojan coming back for another go? Sometimes i come across quite horrible, when in fact I'm just being honest and no harm intended. Bojan has to be given another opportunity, especially when we have £30M 'worth' of berahino and wimmer currently stealing a living at our club.

We need players that can play for us, right now, due to the position we are in. If you cant commmit, pack your bags. We are stuck with the problem of having to work within the parameters of employment law. We can't just terminate a contract because we want to, Unless for disciplinary reasons. If no disciplinary reasons, player and his parent club have to agree. If one party doesn't agree then we have to pay him the wages due to the end of his contract with us - in this case to the end of the season. If his local Spanish club (or any club nearer to where his family are than Stoke is) wish to take over his contract then no doubt, a deal can be done with his agreement. If not then we are stuck with him. It is no different to the way any of us are employed. There will be a period of notice if our employers wish to get rid of us. They can dismiss us on the spot but they would have to pay us to the end of the notice period - plus any redundancy terms etc. In the case of Jese's loan, the notice period is to the end of the season.

Has he not been fulfilling his contract as per requirements surely? I don't know the wording of the contract so I have no idea if he has fulfilled his side of the contract. When I was employed my contract of employment provided for me to be paid for a certain amount of paid absence if I was sick or if I needed time off for illness in my immediate family. I suspect that if we could legally terminate his contract we would.
