1.27 in to the vid it looks like Leslie training with them in the background Well, I've said it before I'll say it again, we don't need a fancy dan glamour boy in charge , we need somebody who can instill team spirit and allow us all to get that siege mentality back, supporters and team. We hope for the very best versus Huddersfield but we also have to appreciate he's not a miracle worker. I'm hoping that just the breath of fresh air that has wafted in is the biggest boost of all. GOARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRN YOU MIGHTY POTTERRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Loved it, he even got Saido properly pressing, I'm glad to see we're doing fitness and glad we're doing crossing work with the fullbacks. Coming round to Lambert far more with every day.

It was great little clip Seems to get stuck in, and show what he wants by actually demonstrating. He did do this with Wolves as well, if you watch a clip of his first training session with them on youtube. Now the fact he is seemingly addressing signings as well is excellent. I'm starting to get a little dribble of pee from being somewhat excited for Saturday now! Imagine if we lose 4-0. I’m expecting us to win but in a strangely perverse way it would be a little bit funny. We see other sides have the new manager buzz drive some quick results for other clubs but we haven’t seen a new manager mid season for a long long time. It would be very Stoke City to completely flop and just about grab enough to stay up with no major impact. Before anyone cries I completely don’t want any of that and the longer it has been since Lambert was appointed the more I’ve actually got quite excited to see what he can do. I was fuming when he was appointed haha.

I like the formation where they are in a circle holding hands, and keeping the ball in the circle...That's one way to shore up our sieve like defence.

Not like you to be pessimistic and negative... I've been praising Lambert since he signed. To be honest I skim over a lot of your posts, sorry, maybe they'll be worth reading again then.

I think an important thing to remember in this is that Lambert certainly has credibility when dealing even with international players - he can justifiably point to his medal collection and ask them what they have achieved if anyone doubts it.

So could Hughes? I know but I am thinking in terms of the low profile, 4th choice nature of the appointment that could have undermined his authority a bit.

First we have practiced diving, expecting loads of penalties on Saturday.
At least we look to be training in defence and getting fit in the process, like the idea of hands on manager.

Lambert is in a win win situation here. We get relegated Hughes gets the blame. Perfect for the board. H

I know but I am thinking in terms of the low profile, 4th choice nature of the appointment that could have undermined his authority a bit. Was he fourth choice? I read that the board weren't convinced with O'Neill after his interviews (and neither was O'Neill convinced about coming here). So maybe Lambert was lower down the pecking order initially, but not actually fourth choice once the interviews had been done.

It would have been hilarious if the video showed us practicing 3 at the back with Johnson at centre half, passing it aimlessly from side to side and back to the keeper 🙂
Then ending with right wingback Diouf sending a cross into the oblivion of the Riverside Chippy’s back yard...
Good to see a few smiling faces there though. Morale is key at the moment

H He seems a likeable guy, and I think he will motivate them. I'm optimistic about the clip the OP posted. Haven't really seen Hughes operate in that way, doesn't strike me as a guy you'd want to fight for.

I thought he said the players weren’t in until Thursday The lads who played on Monday had a recovery session yesterday. The lads who didn't play had a normal training session yesterday. Today was a day off. Full squad will train together tomorrow and Friday.
