The Oatcake brains trust is out in force again. A top player who has fallen out of favour at a top club gets linked to Stoke...
'No thanks, he's shit.'

Another can run fast and kick a ball prima donna from the same school of shiteness as oxlaid chamberlain. Stay well clear imo. You're not on about the Oxlade Chamberlain who is currently holding down a regular place in one of the best teams in the country are you?

The irony is I don't remember too many people complaining about Wimmer in the build up to sigining him, so that sort of backs up my theory that a lot of the 'experts' on here know fuck all.

He's exactly the sort of player that we don't need. The pace would be nice, but we need somebody nastier, not somebody who hurts himself diving and limps off the pitch when his team have already used all their subs.

Certainly got the pace we need, but his lack of footballing skill wouldn't work in a workman like Stoke side. His lack of footballing brain is the main problem. has the pace but doesn't have a clue how to use it.

Can't see him being up for grafting. As much as I'm trying to be positive, the fact is we are in the bottom 3. I'd want players with skill of course, but more importantly determination. I've not seen much of that in Walcott. If we were sitting in the top 10 right now and he was available then I'd be more excited about this.

Would rather Daniel Sturridge, Ashley Young or even Ravel Morrison. Think all would frighten opposition defences more for significantly less money.

£20mil and he’s out of contract in the summer, ludicrous

There are surprisingly quite a few players earning money in the game who actually don't like football.
He is one of them.
If he was any good, you think he'd be sitting on the bench for weeks.'

We have no chance! We all would probably have him still think he's overrated tho!

How old is he?
If he's 30 or close to, it seems a lot.
Good player though, he'll do well there.

Think he'd be well up for a relegation fight. If I needed someone next to me in the trenches Theo Walcott would be top of my list.

Nah it’s just me mate ....hate anything and anybody that’s connected to the Arseholes even ex players. I know it’s irrational but it’s how it is with me. No other club has remotely the same effect on me as that dispicable club and anybody associated with it. So as good as OC might be I will never see him as anything but a useless slime ball piece of ex arsenal shit. Oh and I don’t care who his father is, it makes no difference to me.

Shaqiri picked us over Everton. Ask Everton if they want Shaquiri NOW ? They never wanted Shaquiri, however Shaqiri they were interested in 😉

I'd love Walcott here but I bet his wages are sky-high. He always seems to do well when he gets a run in the team. Arsenal's record with promising young players isn't great is it? I would have expected Walcott to be a nailed-on England regular by now. He'd probably choose Everton over us. I agree his wages would be prohibitively high. During the transfer window people focus so much on transfer fee and too little on wages. Wages are just as important. If wages were not an issue, I think Walcott would be a good addition. The team sorely needs pace. He also strikes me as a decent character who would be a good role model for the other players.

Always been incredibly inconsistent with the exception of 6 months when Wenger played him through the middle as a striker before he got injured, and never been the same since.
Possibly would want him as a striker, but as others have said, he wouldn't consider Stoke.
