First half was certainly encouraging. Never in the game in any way in the second ,though, were we? Dunno if it's just our appalling fitness levels, but we didn't lay a glove on them. Okay overall. Firstly Diouf should have scored to not quite right. And... BMI... back from injury, played 90 mins. Bauer... first game, played 90 mins. Ireland... first start since 2015, played 90 mins. Shaq... ran his bollocks off, played 90 mins. I onna surprised we looked tired after 75 You forgot fletcher

We did look better organised but he made a couple of key selection errors - Crouch and Tymon. This meant Ireland and Bauer had to play 30 minutes too much. Lazy as Choupo was he should have swapped him with Ireland

Sounds like Lambert hasn't got any firm backroom plans of his own lined up yet? As popular as he seems, not sure if it's for the best if Eddie stays, being as he was such a big part of the old regime?

A little change can make a big difference sometimes, it doesn't necessarily have to be everything. If he can work with Lambert and the players do love him then there is potential. Ultimately it's between themselves to work out.

I agree to an extent FM but i think PL will be at lot more hands on day to day so Eddie wouldn't be as influential as previously anyway, a good coach is also just that. Very interested to see who he brings in as his no2.

Excellent point made on Twitter, why the hell wasnt Eddie put in front of the camera more?
His interview tonight was honest, insightful, spelled out what he was thinking and what I liked most is that it felt like a human was speaking not some managerbot.
Yes he's got nothing to lose in this interview but it's very good and he seems a highly intelligent and likeable bloke.
Where have we been hiding him?

Just watched his interview and my god he is so refreshing from the garbage we've been listening to from Hughes. He was so honest and spoke like a true fan. If only more interviews were like that, he is a really likeable guy and I just hope we keep him in this club.

EN still sounds understandably very loyal to MH in all the various interviews tonight. It would surprise me if he stayed on.

They are a shower of fucking lemons. It doesn't matter what tactics we play the fight isn't there.none of them ever get angry. Fucking pathetic Rubbish. Compared to many relegation sides witnessed over the years, there is still some fight in our team.

Keep him, seems a good bloke and the players clearly like him.
From his own point of view it won't harm him set free from Hughes@cronies.org and may be the making of him unless he fancies a job in the championship under Hughes.

I hope he doesn't stay. I watched the coaching staff closely at the Orlando second friendly and it was clear that Eddie was leading on all of the team formations etc so he certainly carried some weight in the management team if not the ultimate decision maker
It is patently clear that the squad is NOT well trained in any phase of play (in possession, out of possession, transitioning). If that's not down to the coach, I don't know what is
Also, I don't want the players to love/like their coach....I want them to respect...even fear their coach. The whole set up stinks of everyone being too comfortable.
No, clean break needed with some top quality coaches

Seems like a decent bloke, which has nothing to do with his abilities as a coach or manager. However, I thought he did a decent job by playing what he believed was the best players at his disposal and playing them in their preferred positions. I was glad that he abandoned the three at the back bollox. We did ok until the middle of the second half when we ran out of steam, so he brought on fresh legs. Was Tymon injured or did he bring Whimper on so Lambert could take a look at him? Either way it wasn’t a bad decision.

Might not be a bad idea to keep Eddie on in the short term as he could help Lambert get up to speed with the players. He will probably want to link up again with Hughes and Bowen in the future, but until then there could be a role for him with us. Depends on who Lambert wants to bring in.

He did everything better than Hughes except starting with Crouch. And making the same mistake as Hughes did with Edwards with Tymon.

Get rid.
If he’s the main coach then he is responsible for the lack of fitness and lack of formation/shape. Everything that is wrong with it.
We looked bolloxed in the second half and the shit never got out of 2nd all game.
