Glen Whelan and Johny Walters. Bring them back on the coaching side and start to build some continuity into the coaching and management of the club.

Wonder if McLaren will join the backroom team? Never fancied him, and still don’t, but he was on Sky Sp News this morning and talked some sense and obviously knows the Prem Lge and it’s players well. From his comments about Stoke when asked I suspect he would have bitten our hand off if offered the job.

Ian Culverhouse was sacked at Villa, for slating his own players on the training ground.

Steven Ireland is finished at Stoke anyway, it’s time he moved down a league or two if he wants to continue his career.

if It’s true that he’s been in Germany lately, watching over their coaching etc, I’d like the idea of him brining a number two from over there. New ideas etc, their coaching methods are far superior to the British way imo!

McClaren is a bad manager but a very good coach I have heard. They would make as good a team to guide us as we could get at the moment!

Perhaps we could persuade Graham Potter with a view to taking over in 2.5 years... you mean 2.5 months?

I don't know who he wants but allegedly he has spent some time in Germany so a young German coach might be a good option , certainly needs a new approach.

Perhaps we could persuade Graham Potter with a view to taking over in 2.5 years... "Hi Graham, Paul Lambert here. Fancy sacking off the knock-out stages of the Europa League and a shot at glory in Swedish domestic football to be my assistant where it'll be a coin-flip as to whether we're playing Championship football in August......Gra....hello? Oh, he's gone. Get me Gary Megson on the phone pronto!"
