Easy how quick people blame someone else when they’ve got rid of who they wanted to get rid off. Wake up and smell the coffee the people who wanted change have got it. Give yourselves a big clap for making us a laughing stock 👍 Did you really type that 😳😳😳 He spouted something confusing on another thread without getting to the point, now I see his point and it's a load of bollocks

Oh for heaven’s sake. Every year 3 teams get relegated. Even if we do, (and that is still far from certain), it is not the end of the world. Anyone who seriously believes that any of the club leadership want us to go down needs to go see a shrink. Do you honestly believe that any of the Coates family wants to throw hundreds of millions away by seeing us relegated? Or for their name to be dragged through the mud? By over-reacting (suggestions of storming the executive suite), you are doing the things that have the best possible chance of alienating the owners who then say “right, that’s it. I’m not putting a penny in and we can just sink back to the third tier.” At least they’re trying. We may never have approached Rowett, Flores & MON turned us down. What do you want, to offer it to some bozo who would 100% accept? I’ d rather they take a few days to regroup, identify the next targets and, if they’re currently available approach them, (AVB anyone) and if they’re not, sign the deal now for next season and bring in someone on a temporary basis. The real thing that makes us a laughing stock is the massive over-reaction on here. 😂😳😂😳😂

Given the amount of money swilling around in this cess pit, and the wages paid to the players, CEO's agents, etc., and the amount of money I have to pay to get in to watch, I reserve the right to criticise poor performance. That includes players, coaches, and yes, CEO's and owners. If the owners can't see they have under-performed and accept criticism then I for one am not going to be frightened off making that criticism by the fear of them pulling out. Afterall, they might pull out and someone prepared to spend more money on the team/club may come in. Who knows? But I won't back away from criticism where criticism is due. What makes us a laughing stock is the piss poor performance of the Board, CEO, Cartwright and Hughes. No-one else.

Managers, players, even owners, even fans have turned down opportunities before. The real shame would be if we were so scared of being turned down that we went for Lambert as first choice so no one could say we’d failed.

I will support my club wherever they may be but my goodness what a shit shower of collective management has seen us come to MON refusing us Thanks Coates family but how did you allow this? Easy how quick people blame someone else when they’ve got rid of who they wanted to get rid off. Wake up and smell the coffee the people who wanted change have got it. Give yourselves a big clap for making us a laughing stock 👍 It's not the fans fault for Christ sake! The board are responsible for the management or in our case mismanagement of the club ewe al love, there is no doubt whatsoever that Hughes had to go. Most of the so called football experts ( not Stoke fans) have come out and said as much. Dont blame the faithful Stoke supporters for voicing their opinions. Why shouldn't we blame the manager the board or the players for that matter. Ive supported Stoke for 50 years, the current situation has left me really contemplating quitting. If my youngest wasn't so keen to go I truly think I could give all up. I have always been proud to call myself a Stoke fan, but its embarrassing at the moment, we seem to be a club run by dim wits and don't cares! And it's getting worse.

It took a lot longer than I thought it would but we are now being exposed as a small time business who have been very lucky to have 10 years at the top the league. Not been lucky at all mate. We deserved top half finishes and played some cracking stuff. It would be true to say that we currenyly seem to lack ambition and have been left behind.

Time to try and force the old man out I think. He's becoming a hinderance.
Flores was the most 'outside the box' target we went for and that was John Coates' idea. Papa Coates is probably rummaging around for Stan Ternent's number.

Hard to see how people who've created such a massively successful business can be this disorganised and naive...... Extremely poor handling of the club for well over a year. It almost feels like an act of vandalism. I hinted at this on another thread: is it possible that Denise Coates is the real brains behind bet365 and she doesn’t give a shit about her dad’s little indulgence. She’s one of the richest woman in the UK and could easily splash the cash needed to hire a first class manager and squad if she wanted to.

Only a few 100 people are reading the Oatcake at any one time, and very few, if any, of those have sufficient clout to make us a laughing stock. Most people I talk to who know anything about the PL can’t understand why we have “suddenly” gone to shit. The usual reaction I get when I say how bad we are is “really? Stoke under Hughes played great football, attracted good players, and finished in the top half three years in a row, what happened?”.

I grant you some of the language on here, e.g. "Oh for heaven’s sake." and much much worse are emotional. I grant you too that probably no-one on here has a clue how things have played out. But many could see the problem with Hughes, could see the January window was coming, could see our transfer dealings to date had too many "turkeys" in there, and that the last thing we should do is wait until well into January before sacking the manager. To add insult to injury, they allowed Hughes to probably be instrumental in bringing a new player in AFTER they had sacked him. Why on earth would you do that? I'm not defending abuse and vitriol but if you can't see that there are legitimate criticisms of the Board/CEO/Cartwright then may I politely suggest you should have gone to Specsavers!.

Yes the handling of the club over the last couple of years does beg those kind of questions. Denise definitely owns and runs Bet365 but her dad and brother have been ' given ' Stoke to manage. One would have thought that the B365 connection with SCFC would at least cause her to care image wise, if for no other reason. Pity she doesn't see the indulgence in a similar light to Abramovich's approach to his..... but hey I guess it's only dad's train set eh?
