Pearson has some merit. History with Stoke, would take nothing from snowflake players.
Could be a runner, but when?

Meh, wouldn't have been in my top 3 at the start of this debacle - but I would take him at this stage.

People have short memories... Pearson is a head case at the best of times and when Leicester were bottom of the table the bloke went bat shit crazy. Having a scary nutter in charge is not a recipe for success - and no it won't motivate the players. They will simply stop bothering and get onto their agents to sort out the first available exit route. Did he save Leicester from relegation or am I imagining that, didn't mental Mark loan Huth to him in the January window ? He was the manager at the time - but the thread running through all Leicester's success was Craig Shakespear. Pearson is pretty much on the edge most of the time but when he was under pressure he was in a proper state - I know a lot of Leicester fans who thought he should have left before the end of the season for the good of his health. Putting someone who cracks under stress into the Stoke job at the moment would just be cruel for all parties. Huth saved them that season - but I'm not sure what that's got to do with anything - other than giving you another chance to have a pop at Hughes for no apparent reason.

The only one I can see who could install some solidity now. If Pearson is the answer why is he managing a Belgian second division team? Why haven’t other top clubs taken him on? The answer is, he’s nothing special, his achievements are minor. For goodness sake if we are going to take on a new Manager let’s have one that can at least put us in the position we were in two years ago. Pearson will probably never manage a Premier team again other than via promotion, I don’t think he can hack it in the Premier.

Fuck me there really are some fucking mentalists on here. Throw shit names about in desperation but no clue about what we need. We need a Van Gaal type not this dross being banded about. Why Van Gaal exactly?

So he was the manager who saved them then thought so, good job he stayed then wasn't it as you say Huth saved them that season despite Mark Hughes claiming he was unfit he didn't miss a game another piece of fantastic transfer business by him and his team, compounded only by taking wolfy on loan as Huth's replacement then selling Huth to Leicester and signing Wolfy on a permanent contract. thank fuck he has gone.

I just want any one today before tomorrow as there is a game in less than 48 players and mostly players are thinking about the new manager more than thinking about the game.

Not going to happen, at least having a manager who will be in charge for this game. Ned will take responsibility either way, whether we sign O'niell or not. The best we can hope for is that he is in the stands.

I think it is better for him to stay in the stands and start his work from Huddersfield game, it will be easier game to give him and the team a push.

The way things are panning out ... Pearson wouldn't be that disastrous in my opinion. As long he's got a decent No2 with him. Paul Lambert or Steve McLaren for example.

Pearson ffs. A guy who's spent 1 season in the PL and 90% of it routed it 20th position.
The mind boggles it really does.

Why not go all out for Tony?
Much better than nut cases, foreign managers with no record etc.
Tony would bring passion, determination, hard working squad, power, strength, commitment, and more importantly wins.
