Flores likes to play 4-2-3-1 and called the premier league the 'paradise' of football. Sounds promising

What's the point in this thread? By the time somebody reads it and opens the iPlayer they're onto talking something else.

Id take neither SGS I think a foreign manager would be an exciting proposition and hopefully starts the return of 'Stokealona' and Martin O'Neil seems to have done well at most clubs hes been at and I would feel confident he would keep us up.

Give him a proper 4 year contract and hell get us back solid. Kinky Sack of Flowers no thanks has relegation all over him. Rafa is the long term option we all know it and so does Coates . Have we got enough money and will to temp him? I doubt it.

A little bit of the choice of manager has to come down to the best suited man. We are a slow team, no pace, unfit, predictable, characterless and let's not get started on the defence and that is just our goalie's opinion. If we cant get Rafa then maybe Lee Johnson is worth a punt he has managed 3 teams who were all struggling when he took over and has managed to win more than he lost for all of those clubs, those who know him say he loves players with pace, also likes big characters and likes to play high tempo exciting Noga, imagine Stoke playing like Brizzle did against us, imagine pace and tempo, imagine football that was fecking exciting May, of course, fall flat on his face too in the prem, but not quite as boring and predictable as the other front runners

There seems to be a lot of dissenting voices on here regarding the realistic choices and absolutely no realistic ( please don’t say Rafa, which is a joke) options.

The key issue to me is will it be Peter's choice or John's?
Will 80 year old Peter symbollically pass on the reigns to John knowing he is the future of the club as far as the family is concerned?
Knowing that will tell us a lot about who the new boss could be.

He stated that Rafa is going no where. How true this is, I don’t know. Bit gutted if true, he would have been ideal.

MON is a man of his word and has already committed verbally to a two year contract to Manage Republic of Ireland. In Terry Conroys opinion is that he will most definitely honour that promise!

He can do both jobs. Ireland only have a couple of friendlies in March. He would only be here till May, it's not an issue.

If Moyes keeps them up (and he probably will) then he's gone some way to restoring his reputation - meanwhile Rafa doesn't tarnish his by walking out on the Toon midway through the term. Everyone is a winner.
