Rowett himself said there had been no contact with Stoke, so he had no choice to make.

If we want to go on a dick measuring competition I can tell you;
The Baseball ground was a BIGGER SHIT HOLE than the VICTORIA.
The whole place and especially the pitch was a disgrace.
Had some great times there though.

One of my Derby fan brothers tagged me on a video on Facebook of our 20th anniversary of losing to Brum 7 Nil, I reminded him it was almost as many goals as points they got in points in 2007/2008

Derby like Leeds are a one club City like Leeds which helps their attendances. Like Leeds they have a better history than us but at the moment they are way way short of us in terms of position. this is the challenge for the new bloke

to me it does not matter how big the fan base is they are in the championship for one reason. they have been a badly run club. leeds sunderland sheff wed all have massive fan bases but are all in the championship for the same reason.

Interestingly on one stat alone Stoke are better supported than Derby. Our highest home attendance is 51,380, there's is 41,826. This is almost 10k less than us and therefore we are better and bigger.
(Vales is 49,768 so they're also bigger)

I went to Uni in Derby, my own fault really should have studied harder but that's by the by. They do have a better history than us but who cares look at their squad and there is not one player I'd have taken in our first season in the premier league never mind now, their first choice keeper is a guy we knocked back 10 years ago, put Messi, Ronaldo and Neymae into that team and they are struggling to get more than 11 points.

they won the league in the 70.s[when we were having a good go too] on a pitch that would not be passed fit today infact it was that bad even the vale would turn it down for a fa cup game!!!! cant wait for their fans response when they have a dodgy spell which they will.

Usually when people get on the everything was miles better in the old days bandwagon they reflect warmly and nostalgically about footballers being proper men because they could play on ace shitheaps like the baseball ground pitch. Now the aforementioned pitch is a symbol of their shitness.
Football fans. Don't you just love is??ππ

How is that relevant to the state of a football pitch in 1975? The pitch was a disgrace but usually people talk about it lovingly.

Pulis had all sorts of shit aimed at him for reducing the size of the pitch (within the rules mind) to play to our strengths. Everyone looks back with a smile and a nostalgic tear in the eye at stories of Waddo watering the pitch to a quagmire because it suited Sir Stan, who could float across it, against bigger heavier defenders who would sink without trace. Opinions hey.

Stoke City are in the Premier League. Derby County aren't. Probably a brave and slightly silly statement as they are on the up and ourselves on the down. If you have just started senior school Iβll give you some grace, however, if you are a fully grown adult, well. Itβs just embarrassing. π¨
