Fan attitude like this is why they achieve fuck all. Our attitude in the championship was like gold being towards the top, yet we never went as big headed as these lot.
Worst points tally in premier league history is to be proud of though.

Twice champions, three times runners up, and an FA cup too.
Can’t argue with that really.
Derby are a good club, and Rowett was sensible to stay than quit on them so soon. He could have turned into the next Steve Cotterill if he bailed so soon and joined us.

They've achieved a lot more than us - although I'd argue about them having a lot more support. It made no sense for their Manager to jump ship.

Neither can I, That's said Huddersfield town and Burnley are 'bigger' clubs with a better history than Southampton, Crystal Palace, us, Newcastle, etc using the same analogy as that article...

the unthinkable happens when you don’t get so obsessive with how big your club is. Leicester City are prime example.
Same with the mentality of Leeds fans In the championship when they suggest they ‘deserve’ to be in the premier league because they regard themselves as the best fans in the Uk. It’s a load of bollocks.

History is a thing of the past. Right now Mr Coates better wake up to that because we are in the shit in the present and Derby are still in the Championship

If you believe the Sentinel, Rowett was never our top target. If that is true (and I have no idea either way), Rowett and his agent played a blinder by getting their fans and board to shit themselves over a few paper rumours to win himself a big contract, and fair play to him.
Derby fans will always talk up their club, but so will most fans of most clubs in the top two tiers of English; we're all bigger than the overwhelming majority of clubs in this country and the world itself. The fact they were terrified of losing Rowett should reveal how big they really are, though.

I hadn’t realised you’d never won the top flight or had any fa cup wins, you’re bottom of the league in the history stakes but who cares as you’re in the prem and Derby aren’t.

Errrr, our League Cup in '72, Autoglass Trophy double, hatful of Staffordshire Senior Cups and Isle of Man Trophies, and the Uhren Cup as recently as last year says otherwise fella.

they turn up in better numbers and had Cloughie problem with them that apart from shagging sheep once you get past Utchetter going East people tend to get a bit dull until you get to Norwich in my experience .
Always a good day out before football became corporate , an away day at the baseball ground was always fun .

Yes, it's fucking shit isn't it, no pretending otherwise. I think I'm right in saying we have the most seasons in the top flight without winning either the League or the FA Cup. 61?

One team in that list is massively out of place Man Utd are clearly the biggest club. Then it's Liverpool followed by Arsenal. Chelsea come next then there isn't a great deal between Tottenham, Villa & Everton. Newcastle bring up the rear. West Ham are a fucking million miles away from those clubs in terms of support & history.
