Hodgsons fine with it. Good enough for me. Yeh but Woy is so old and senile now he probably thinks he is Brighton's Manager and that he won the game.

It hit his thigh but I know what you mean, he tries to push his arm on to it after. But luckily for him it didn't touch it.

I have just heard on radio Andrew marriner chose not to review it .....so big headed refs can just stick to what they think

First use of VAR at a competitive match last night BHA V Palace. Glen Murray bundles one it near the end for the winner. Replayed on VAR and goal given. I have watched it a couple of times and still not convinced it didn't glance off his arm. All my BHA fan mates say no chance it was legit but then they would wouldn't they! Thoughts? Video via the link below. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42531682were they saying no chance, it was legit, or no chance was it legit, I thought it was a goal and not off the arm.

I have just heard on radio Andrew marriner chose not to review it .....so big headed refs can just stick to what they think I watched the game and when you have players appealing for anything then you can't go to the VAR all the time. Palace players appealed for a penalty, the ones nearby looking at the ref and pointing to the spot, from the first real time view it hit his chest and a quick replay showed it hit his chest, the players need to stop appealing for anything when they know it's not in their favour.

I think on a goal ..and players appealing it should be 100% used

Used in the right scenarios it would be good, used in the wrong scenarios and circumstances it could potentially kill all momentum in the game and make it tedious. Also not quite sure how cheaters like Eddie Howe will find ways to use it to manipulate and waste time.

I like VAR generally. Sure, there'll be a few issues with it and they'll no doubt be used by the naysayers, but the important thing to remember is it will help with decision making overall and more will be got right.
It should also enable refs to tell players "wasn't me son!" Which will hopefully stop players bothering to go nuts at refs.
Will be a good thing overall.

Yet one more nail in the coffin of real football Fans were saying that substitutions killed football, and then when it went from two to three subs...

To begin, the FA - if it knew what it was doing - could bring in VAR just for penalties, all penalties. No intervention from the ref, no intervention from club captains, just test it on penalties. Would cut in half the amount of diving play acting fannies that are brushed away by pundits as 'entitled to go down' in a flash.

I don’t mean cheat the outcomes of VAR, I mean using it to take the momentum out of games, waste time etc etc.
