Don't agree, his C.V. will show 9th, 9th, 9th, 13th, with a relatively medium sized club, he will get his chance again. Whenhis agent sends out the DVD of Mark's career if he deletes everything from March 2016 onwards he will get the next job easy! Skipping through his last four months of QPR as well of course.

It’s not his up to date cv then geoff Well lets update it then: PL record in a FULL season: 6th, 1Oth, 7th, 1Oth, 8th, 9th, 9th, 9th, 13th. Pretty impressive, wouldn't you agree? Yes but don’t forget presently 18th with no idea how to turn it round .

Old news - that's what he said after the game anyway? The form guide on that link is interesting though - apart from Crystal Palace, everyone outside the top 6 is in poor form.

Well we will never know whether he could have turned it round, he's got out of difficult starts before, generally though I think the reaction from the fans made it almost impossible for Coates to do anything else but remove him. I am looking forward to the new appointment, my view is that MON would be the best/safest choice in view of our current position.

He certainly hasn’t left us in a good position and I and many others couldn’t see the next win let alone him turning it round . Whoever the next manager will be I will get behind as I’m sure everyone else will .

Hopefully he becomes a full time moderator on here so he can close pointless threads like this. It would be nice to have him come on here and tell it like it was. But then again Stoke City and communication go hand in hand with the pony express. Part of pay off terms will be a gagging order.

He’s overseen a shitload going into the net this season.

We all agree he did not have enough “credit in the bank” to keep his job but surely he has enough to escape the vitriol he’s getting on here.

Funnily enough Mark's charming gift for the understatement will be what I miss most about him! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hughes said after the 2-1 defeat that sealed his fate: “I’ve given a number of players a go. It’s fair to say some didn’t play to their maximum potential, if I can put it that way. Nice one Mark

Glasgow Rangers fans are quite warming to the idea of Hughes taking over from Murty at the end of the season.
They've been watching Celtic's continued progress under Rodgers after he made the move from the Prem with envy & & see Hughes as their next man. Maybe a perfect fit. Charlie as player coach perhaps after his recent Hughes public backing!

If I worked for three years in a job and then royally fu**ed up do you think my employers would have said. "Well he has credit in the bank".? He had a high profile job with excellent money, was he too proud to ask for help? When you make a pigs dinner of things you hold your hands up , do your best to put it right and get some help. If you can't put it right you should walk away not wait to be pushed in total denial. Said it before I like the man, a lot more than I did when he used to play.

Maybe he'll return to Australia and Home and Away as Alf Stewart's wife, Ailsa. "Clearly, in my view, I'll be tearing it up down under" As I remember it, after she died Ailsa came back as a ghost and continued to nag Alf mercilessly about his failure to take out the trash or deal with the mongrels drinking alcopops in the park. This chapter might not be quite as finished as Tony Scholes likes to think.

I'd say Gods' original post nail his immediate plans. After that it gets a bit more tricky.
Whether his fault or not, our troubles looking like the problems he had at QPR is going to put a lot of people off. The Wales job is most likely; or maybe a stint in one of the Asian leagues where being an ex Man Utd player is going to be much more important than his management record.

Guess he'll shoot some golf in the sunshine and watch his daughter playing hockey then pop up on our screens in the early summer as a pundit on one World Cup channel or another to keep him in the spotlight. But what about after that, he's only 54, is there another Prem fight left in him, or is he a busted flush as regards that? Or how about an unfancied international team which would be less pressure and more or a 'hobby job' in terms of the time commitment? I don't think he'd fancy roughing it in China however well it paid. What next for Sparky? He will manage a mid table side for three seasons and then fuck off, with his finger up in the air, before the fans want more.

There comes a time when the hairdryer needs to be used and rigid principles enforced. He did neither and is now taking the can for it. He came with a master plan and left without a clue.

On another note, when is Alan Brazil auditioning for the remake of the Mr Creosote sketch?

He won't get another prem job after what he's done to Qpr and us. I think he will need to go to a club below the Premiership now myself, to rebuild himself. He's a good manager, no doubt about it, but between QPR and the last 12 months here, he's not exactly done himself any favours. The main gripe I think the outside world have with him is his recruitment success, it's always the thing people mention about Hughes most from what I've seen. Maybe we'll see him rolling up at Derby next !
