He's gone full daveviews today, bless him. Thanks for the comments. Always good to be proven right. Your reputation hangs on the appointment of Megson.

Thanks for the comments. Always good to be proven right. Your reputation hangs on the appointment of Megson. Incorrect. I could be davesviews and say we are after a footballer south of Aberdeen and the board goes mad. I actually give something specific ie a non Russian playing in Russia a full 3 days before this news break and I'm shot down. It's a funny old message board at times.

You started a thread saying Megson will be appointed until the end of the season, so I will judge you on that.

Looks good, very quick and puts a good ball in to the box. We'll soon nip that in the bud.

Makes me think a new manager has already been tapped up and has possibly had a say on potential transfer targets You'd be wrong.

Surprising how quickly transfers can be done when things start to look a little bit desperate! Yes and mean we end up paying more ( less time to haggle) but have the chance of getting players in now.

Looks good, very quick and puts a good ball in to the box. we just need somebody who can keep up with him and get into the box, then actually head the ball between the two white sticks, and under the white pole at the top of the sticks.

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5247283/Arsenal-offer-Debuchy-Jonny-Evans-deal.htmlStoke City have a deal in place with Rubin Kazan for right-back Moritz Bauer. The 25-year-old Austria international had been lined up by the club prior to Mark Hughes's sacking. Bauer's arrival may now be held up as the club look to appoint a new manager. Bauer was born in Switzerland and capped at U21 level but qualified for Austria through his father and has been capped twice, in the World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Georgia. Rubin are currently on their winter break and happy to conclude business as it gives them time to find a replacement.

Is he an good then? I've seen the YouTube stuff but that's never a true reflection. Winker looked like Beckenbauer 😂. Anyone seen him play?

Does the next manager get the blame if he is no good? I was just thinking this. I don't agree with the new manager not picking his players and I think this is part of the problem at the club. I don't know much about Bauer, but say the new manager comes in and says "Right, I need attaking wing backs to play the way I want to" - tough shit - we've just bought one. Like I say I don't know anything about Bauer's style of play - just strange to me.

We won’t be signing anyone without a new manager in place. Well that's turned out well

Rumours that we are signing him, anyone know much about him? He is very good - plays for Austria´s National Team. What kind of player is he? Right defender with pace, good technique and high offensive qualities - in Austria everybody loves him Hopefully not Wimmer 2.0? Please...pretty please. Bauer is a complete different player - for a defender, Bauer is technically much more equipped than Wimmer Time will tell - but this is quite encouraging!

This is an absolutely mental move by the transfer team. Why on earth are we signing players when we don't even have a manager in place. For all we know, the new manager may not want him.

I have heard from a current player that Berahino and Wimmer were not Hughes signings and he is the one carrying the can. Hopefully Bauer is a roaring success and proves a good signing.

Hughes signed this bloke essentially.
We've got to get over that and the mentalness of signing a player without the new manager.
It essentially for now has to be irrelevant.
All the reports from Russia read well so that's a good start.
Good luck to the lad!
