Butland Edwards Shawcross Zouma Pieters Allen New CM Ramadan/New LW Shaq Choupo New ST The striker has to be a lukaku/Benteke type striker than do it all. E.g hold it up, play on the shoulder etc CM needs to be a Cameron upgrade, his legs and distance covered along with more tackling and better passing/ball retention. The winger should be someone physically imposing to help cover for shaqs lack of defensive cover in the middle of the pitch. He should bring Bojan, muni and Imbula back off loan and let Ireland, Fletcher and Johnson go Well that is quite an informative piece of planning. It would be all fine with your plan apart from the fact that when we do a season loan, that means exactly what it says. It is for the season. Those loan players cannot be coming back. That sort of disturbs your plan?

Nothing can win me over now with regards to Hughes. He's done his time and must be gone.
We all can see right now that he can't even win a damn football match let alone a cup of an unbeaten run.

A (significant) upturn in results. The long-term trend he is taking us on is not a good one, so remain totally unconvinced he is the person to lead us beyond this season.
In the short-term, a good win on Saturday with a clear indication of younger players being involved and pushing for first-team involvement; a battling draw (or even better!) at Man U; a convincing win and performance against Huddersfield. We need positive results, and quick, to even remotely stand a chance of turning this around.
The truth is this shouldn't even be a thread as he should already be gone. Yet here we are.

Win and progress in the cup. Win at least 4 of our next 6 in the league.
It's not going to happen.

Attack with pace and numbers like every other team in the league. Defend properly and effectively, we had 11 men in the box defending corners on Monday hence no out ball, the formation of the back line is non existent and we now don't even seem able to push out from defence even when we've cleared a corner. Play with passion and not have them just strolling about the park, the forwards just jog back to get onside and hardly ever close down a defender who has the ball even when they are 5 fucking yards away. It would also be helpful for some one to point out to them they only have 90 mins to score as many goals as they can so don't waste time pratting about by playing slowly when its 0-0 play quickly, take free kicks quickly, pass the ball quickly, get forward quickly and don't let the opposition regroup by playing it sideways, finally show some desire to actually win.

Some sensible signings in key areas tied up next week with minimal fuss
Bring Muniesa and Bojan back
Hiring of a new defensive coach
2/3 wins in a row and much improved performances

We need a better LB than Pieters, and we can't just rely on Edwards; we need another RB. 2. I think Shawcross is past his best and Indi would be preferable, playing left side CB, with Zouma on the right. 3. Creativity is more important than yet another striker. We need to create more down the right. We will never get a Lukaku, and Benteke has only scored 25 goals in the last 3 seasons. 4. Bojan, Imbula, and Muni have been shipped out as failures and I don't see that they are the type of players for a relegation fight. Muni is rarely available anyway.

The biggest problem we have is if Mark Hughes wins the next 5 on the trot, the trolls will be out to say only papering over the cracks, or i didnt like him when he first come here, etc etc etc.He should resign, leave us in the shit and put two fingers up to the management

Always liked Hughes the man and you have to admire his tenacity with everything going on at the moment - no shortage of determination. To win me over he has to bring in a quality left and right back in this window, also in this window a central midfield player(preferably a rock the city player) in the mold of Nzonzi and some twat who has an eye for goal.
None of the above can be old or have hardly played a game for 3 years or be of shit and questionable character. I feel like I have been asking for these signings for the last 4 or 5 windows and ultimately it is lack of quality players in these positions that is costing us.
We have never replaced Nzonzi, we don't have a go-to striker and I really do not have a fecking clue what is going on with full-backs or lack of them

For me, he is done.
He could sign 4 world class players, win every remaining game and us finish 7th and I still wouldn't be convinced by him.
His time is done.
Managers being at clubs for 6,7...10 years is done.
Everything about Stoke at the moment is screaming stagnation

I have watched my club going backwards for the past two seasons. I am now going to matches and not expecting to win. I am resigned to relegation and lay the blame squarely at Hughes feet. Nothing would win me over. Even if he signed Messi and Ronaldo he wouldn't know how to use them. How this situation has been allowed to develop leaves me fuming.

Go back to playing 4-2-3-1 with Shaqiri as the number 10. Sign a quality defensive midfielder. Beat Coventry with ease. Only -1 or better against Man Utd. Follwed by 9 points from 12 in the next 4 prem games.
Only a short list.

Decent cup win. Not getting humiliated at Utd and 9 points from the next 4 league games after that. And some decent, on-form incomings. Well that's me out then. Not going to go as low as some of our supporters and call him all the names under the sun as he's done a lot of good for the first couple of years at the club and the players have got to take a portion of the blame but it's obviously now time for him to go. Let's just hope the next manager can turn it round, whoever he is. New manager in place for Huddersfield is an absolute must.
