Lazy, can't be bothered, no guts, no fight but they're all backing Hughes. Don't have to do much do ya, a new manager might demand more no can't have that

Be interesting to compare that with the stats for us and Chelsea in the previous match if anyone has them?
I want to get wound up about it but honestly there is only about 10% between all the teams and for example only 2% between us and Man United who did a real job on Everton yesterday.
I'm not sure what it really means. Are we consistently at the bottom end of this table or was this a one-off? I'd be concerned if that were the case.

I've seen this stat before this season about us being the least

That statistic in isolation doesn't mean a lot and wouldn't be even a topic for discussion if we'd won.
Certain players that have left were criticised for being hardworking and doing lots of running.
The statistic coupled with our lack of craft and guile and a wholesale lack of tactical nous has relegation written all over it

After we rested half the team last Saturday😡 To put that into perspective that's 2k or 100m per player less than Leicester and ManU who both won. Easily taken up by celebrating their goals I imagine. This fixation with stats in football is mad only one counts, the final score.

Totally Disagree we are a bunch of plodders who are not fit enough and week after week we’re in bottom of these stats win, lose or draw

We do seem to meander about the pitch with little sprinting or jostling whether we have the ball or not......as mentioned, lazy and I'll disciplined players.

Our aversion to pressing is mystifying. Anyone who’s any good does it and we go out of our way not to.

For anyone who watches us play regularly, a stat showing that we cover less ground than anyone else should not be a surprise.
As well as looking totally disorganised, we also look totally unfit, compared to our opponents.

Why can't we have a more forthright boss? Hughes is like a 'wet fart' no passion himself, anger is confined to gestures or pulling faces!! Other managers would pull players in for extra training, esp fitness what do we do community visits????

Our aversion to pressing is mystifying. Anyone who’s any good does it and we go out of our way not to. Playing at a level, where every team is stuffed full of players who can hurt you, if you give them time and space on the ball, its a bizarre strategy I am going to stick my neck out on this one, and say its not going to catch on

I don't think the stats include all the metres that Shaq walked!

If your one-trick pony is: Butland > Wimmer > Zouma > Adam > hoof it up to Crouch, there is not a lot of running involved.

Shows what we can all see in the ground, no one is making runs or getting ahead of the ball!, way too static!

Without running any statistical tests ( your dad could no doubt have done that easily for us ) I'm not sure that the difference between us and most of the other teams is statistically significant, and even if it is, I think it can be wrongly or over-interpreted in footballing terms.

Just had another look at those stats.
Liverpool players apparently ran about a mile more than ours.
If you take Joe Allen out its probably more like 2 miles.
Earlier I said no one should be surprised by this and I stand by that, but buggar me we are one lazy, unfit team.

After we rested half the team last Saturday😡 Swap Shaqiri for Ramadan in the starting line up and shoot up the table. Wonder where we'd be if you gave one player In every team Shaqiri's running stats?

Our aversion to pressing is mystifying. Anyone who’s any good does it and we go out of our way not to. Some do a high press, some do a full press or a half press. What we do is more like a printing press.
