A little bit of patience needed now. Now doubt we have been putting the feelers out and interest is flying in with the media coverage etc. It's about sorting the wheat from the chaff when we have a list of interested parties.
Bet if we as fans knew we would be pleasantly surprised who has shown interest.
Big Carlo is on his way for his oatcakes 🤣
Daft as it sounds SCFC is an attractive job when we don't change manager as often as our underwear.
No excuse to end up with a megson or mclaren at all

The board are spineless and don't have the bollocks to outright sack the deluded fool. So just you fucking watch, he won't be sacked but he'll leave by mutual consent.

Let's face it no one knows what's going on at the club.
The lack of any announcements has led to rumour and conjecture with people reading into the amount of time is taking for a decision to be made (or broadcast if already taken) leading to a flurry of articles in the media rehashing previous stories.
Do you think if the decision has been made to stick with Hughes the club would have made a statement already to remove the spotlight from us, I can't help in thinking the longer it goes without the club saying anything the more likely he has gone, but that could just be wishful thinking

He has a contract and will use that to negotiate a good payout. I dont mind if we call it a sacking or mutual consent but he has to go. If he was staying they would have come out in his favour about dinner time so I say hes gone

We're not going to advertise the latter and it doesn't look like the former will happen either. The only way I can see a statement that says Hughes is staying going down well with the fans is if it's got.....'and we've bought Dembele, Carvalho and Luke Shaw' at the end of it.

Today has been busier that transfer deadline day!
I know my F5 button is knackered in extreme hope to read Hughes has gone. It would be about the only exciting Stoke news in a good few months.

From a reliable source. "An announcement regarding Mark Hughes' will be made as soon as the two for Tuesday toppings have been decided. At the moment it's a toss up between pepperoni, meat feast (BBQ base) or a spicy chicken" You don't have to believe me but I usually get good info from this person. Update: They've gone for meat feast and pepperoni. It's just a case of how busy dominoes is now.

In fact I'm one of those who maintain that he should've gone at the end of last season. I just find it laughable, I have a contract at work too but if my performance deteriorated to the level of Hughes' incompetence I'd have been out on my arse weeks ago.

What message would this send out after all this if we don’t get rid. Hughes will be thinking it makes no odds what I do you’ve decided keep me as there are no replacements. He’s got to go tonight.

They won’t sack the fecker.... he’ll still be here when we have our first game in the Championship. On the bright side, it may be a local derby against Burton Albion!

As I mentioned earlier today, the board have decided not to push the button on Hughes. I don't know anymore than that, but he will be the manager of this club for now.

What's the point.
Get rid, put someone in as caretaker until we play the shit. This will give the players a kick up the arse. We need to win Sat. I know it's against a league 2 club but we are very fragile a the moment and Coventry will be more than up for it.
Out now not later.

If we're looking at the possibilty of a current working manager then if you factor in the reported £5m Hughes pay off, plus say £2m+ to pay to a club for their manager, that's £7m+. I know in the grand scheme of things it's a small price to pay for failure, but it's as much as filling the corner in and in took us 10 years to decide on that. So just another 9+ years to go boys for decision.

The board are hoping sparky wont enjoy this mess becoming bigger and bigger , will become stressed by the situation and will resign .Thus saving the board having to give him a massive pay off . That's a bit of a high risk strategy , if Hughes wants advice on swallowing his pride , bagging the cash , and milking his contract for all it's worth , he only has to speak to his mate Gianelli imbula Assuming he speaks french that is :-)
