IF it meant we would be able to bring stability to the defence and defensive midfield positions! As its likely they will both leave in the summer anyway.

If we had got Younes and two decent fullbacks for Shaq I would seriously have considered it! If we had a decent replacement for Jack lined up and we could get £35M for him, yes!

No chance, we should be able to spend tens of millions without selling anyone we are minted.
And why sell one of our best players in the hope we will sign someone who might be one of our best players? Daft.

Don't know what to hope for anymore? PC could give Sparky £100m for the January window and we could still end up with a pile of shite?

Don't know what to hope for anymore? PC could give Sparky £100m for the January window and we could still end up with a pile of shite? That's the main worry for me. His last decent signing was Allen. I'm worried about what we will bring in in January. The squad needs characters but Hughes seems reluctant to sign that type of player

If we could hope to make a profit on Shaqiri, I'd sell him in a heartbeat.
I wouldn't entertain the notion of selling Butland unless it was for a very, very silly sum of money.

I wouldn't sell either of them before the summer because if they have good World Cups, their value will soar. Also it should be easier to get good quality replacements in the summer.

I'd only sell Jack if we get 30 million and have one of Burnley's goalkeepers lined up.

We would have literally nothing in attacking areas if we sold Shaqiri. We would concede even more without Butland.

I'd only sell Jack if we were offered £75,000,000 at the least.

If we got £50m+ for both, just how much of that, do you think tight arse would release for new players?

Butland is a tricky one. I can see him wanting to move in January, because the amount of goals he is conceding will probably scupper his chances of being the number one for England at the world cup. Then if he doesn't get to play at the world cup his value will go down

We would breeze making a profit on Shaqiri, our issue would be signing a decent replacement for the fee we got him for! If we sell either in January it will mean relegation and we'd have sold too cheaply.

You won’t avoid relegation by selling the two best players you’ve got

There won't be many decent players available to bring in so unless we are offered some amazing swap deals that woukd really make a difference No.

We should only sell if we can do what Souhampton or Spurs do. Whatever the bid is, tell them we won't accept less than double. I doubt we're capable of this though... "£10m for Butland? Well we did pay less for him....seems reasonable"

If we do sell Allen then there must be a big undercurrent and something much worse than letting big players go.. Jack butland wouldn't be as bad but surely better off unloading him in the summer

No. The club don't need the cash and selling proven performers in Jack or Shaq to bring in players who might not be the standard or take time to settle in simply isn't worth it when you are in a relegation fight.
We should be bringing in players anyway and trying to keep our best performers, definitely not letting them go in January

Then if he doesn't get to play at the world cup his value will go down Makes sense. The way we are playing is definitely going to affect Jack's chances of being No.1 at the World Cup and his own personal form at the minute isn't as good as Pickfords probably largely due to the shit in front of him.
