Someone on reddit looked at the site's source code and basically they aimed to put it up on New Years Day but got the number of days in December wrong.

I wonder if the deal is already done, it would explain why they planned to announce it January 1st and why Liverpool could announce the Van Dijk signing out of the blue like they did.
