He's been awesome this year albeit a wonderful team around him. I just hope him, Kane and Alli fire in Russia and we may do ok

Heβs massively, massively improved under Guardiola.
He still lacks that sparkle for me though, like what David Silva possesses.

Heβll do fuck all with the dross around him at the World Cup. This is the point. He's hardly going to get the service he gets from KDB, Silva and co when he lines up next to Jake Livermore and Jordan Henderson is he? Our midfield for England is abysmal.

He's always been a brilliant player.
Can't understand the hate. Is it because he dared to leave Liverpool?
He's top of the league...

He's learned how to finish now which with the pace he's always had has stepped him up a level.

Heβs come out and said how much Guardiola has helped him mentally. Heβs told him to think and take his time which is very evident in his play. With him being a young Englishman, we can only hope he carries on!

First saw him on TV with Liverpool (preseason in Boston).....and Brendan Rodgers threatened to ship him back to England, for saying something marginally offensive, as if he was a naughty child. Rodgers never really produced......but under Pep's guidance, Sterling certainly has. He's one of those players that are fun to watch when they turn on the jets.
Good luck to England but I think that Belgium have WC Russia already won.

A lot of Man City fans round me didn't rate him even when we played them. I had to sit through that shit surrounded by those blue twats.

Sterling burst on the scene full of talent and bluster. The problem is his form dipped but a lot of people make no allowances for the various factors in someone's development.
He's showing his best because he has a manager and coaching staff who approach him (on and off the pitch) with positive sympathy.
