Absolutely outstanding today - obviously got his goal and assist, but worked his bollocks off all game, closing people down, getting stuck in and looking to push us forward. Take a bow son.

Has great stamina and tenacity and a tidy footballer to boot. Whilst I agree he was oustanding today I still don't think he's a number 10, especially at the expense of pushing Shaq out wide.
Him and Cameron as the midfield pairing in a 4-2-3-1 though instantly stops us from having one of the least mobile midfields in the league, albeit a bit light in creativity.

Not a huge fan of Allen. He's an alright player but I don't really see where he fits in long term...but he was first class yesterday and has been a shining light the last few games.

I don't think he's played badly this season but the whole team structure looks so much more solid with him further forward.

I don't think he's played badly this season but the whole team structure looks so much more solid with him further forward. Which is a weird problem in itself. Our team shape only works when Cameron, a hard working but desperately limited player, sits deep, and Joe Allen plays as an attacking midfielder.

Allen would look even better with a bit more quality beside him. Cameron can do a job but a young athletic defensive midfielder would allow Joe to shine even more.Fletcher started off ok but as the games have come thick and fast he has looked worse by the game.Hope this is an area that is looking to be addressed by the board and transfer team.

He's not a natural but I think his best position could well turn out to be as a no 10. He hasn't got the physical presence for a defensive midfielder but his energy, ability to nick a ball off the opposition and a knack for drifting into space without being noticed makes him quite effective further forward. I'd like to see Cameron partnered by someone with Allen's mobility and stamina but with more of a physical presence - a Wanyama or Fellani type. I'll write a note, set it in fire and watch it drift up the chimney for Santa.

He is pretty much the first name on the sheet for me most weeks. Play him alongside a destroyer or someone like Dembele at Celtic we are pretty sorted in a 4321.
Besides he won me a bet yesterday to score first in under 20min. 40:1 so I'm biased, although he left it late at 19 mins :-)

Silva and Kane are way out our league - Fellaini may be out of our reach but he's not that far out of reach - he's handy but not a worldy. I think Mourinho gets the value of a player like Fellaini but I don't think many Man Utd managers would see him as an obvious choice at that level - and I think he only got the chance there because of Moyes. Not going to happen but its an unrealistic dream rather than a mad fantasy.

He has great games against mostly poor opposition where his running around pays dividends (like WBA), where I agree he was MOM. Against any team with some quality though, he provides no distribution or stability to a midfield and his running around leaves everyone else exposed. I like Joe but just do not rate him, we need better if we are going to improve. He feels to me like the John Walters of midfield. Loved Super Jon too but very limited.

I actually worry for him - plays like an absolute fucking madman for us
I worry he will simply, burn himself out
does so much running other people should be doing in the team
and people actually criticise him for this, which I find frankly - amazing
