Why Cousin David ( my cousin David or just Dave to friends) went to see Liam Gallagher in Nottingham and said it was the best ‘ gig’ he has seen for ages. My favourite ‘gig’ is watching Enya on the box at Albert Hall.

Stereolab, Daft Punk, Elbow, Alfie, Baby Bird at The Sugarmill. /quote] Daft Punk @ the Sugarmill, What year was that.. 96/97 I reckon. About the time of 'Burnin'' and that. Rammed and extremely funkular. They played at a night at Keele too similar time. Saw Leftfield, Massive Attack, Primal Scream and Chemical Brothers around the same time too. Manchester and Sheffield, not Stoke. Saw Chemical Brothrrs in the basement of the Green Dragon? in Highbury when they fost kicked in as a 'thing'. When they'd left manc uni.

Some of my favourite bands have played sone of the worst gigs I've ever been to. Rolling Stones, -some massive rugby pitch in Sheffield, 2000 Happy Mondays -Elland Road, 1992
Anything bigger than Vicky hall is losing it
Agree Freetown was great! Saw flowered up there circa 1992, I believe the lead singer died not long afterwards, "It's on" is still one of the defining tunes of that era
"Weekender" - Great video with the under rated British character and my old mate Lee Whitlock

Jesus Christ it was like the end of the world every night. The owner got bumped off by a hit man for a gambling debt. They had some decent bands on but spent no money advertising it.
