Taking away the abysmal defending, we do not look like scoring, and we have one midfield player worth his salt. We are in a right mess, and the so and so of a ref didn't help!

Undoubtedly the worst player on the pitch by some distance.
His attempt to bring lanzini down en route to the penalty was laughable.

When all you have to do is take a player down, without any effort to get the ball, and take a yellow / red for the team...and you cant even do that... Time to move on and get yourself a job outside of football.

Wimmer?
Would rather have spent 18m on Kwyten.

18m.... that alone needs to be asked why? I’m hoping he comes good but please someone tell me what he has done to justify that price tag. The funny thing is many posters on here slated me when I questioned the fee. I was told he is a quality player and I need watch more football!! Well fuck me im watching

After listening to the BBC I am convinced Wimmer was a cheap option. £18 mil yes but Spurs players are on low wages. I would suggest his overall fee and wages would work out cheaper than others who may have had a lower transfer fee but bigger wages.

I'd never heard of him before he came to us. I thinks that's because he'd had 6 starts in 2 years for Spurs - he was that fucking good. And what did Spsrky do - paid £18m quid for him ( they paid £4m?) An absolutely dire piece of business.

I'm writing to the authorities to investigate this transfer!!!!
There has never been any evidence to support the view that wimmer is an 18 million quid defender.
The whole thing stinks

Some of you need to look at Shawcross. Out of his depth and as bad as anybody at the moment

18 million is a cooking disgrace for wimmer, but like Nigel Johnson said earlier; “worst defence in the premier league, this’s place used to be a fortress!!” Says it all

Looks terrible but I don't see how anyone would look good with Fletcher and Allen in front of them; both are looking dreadful in different ways, unfairly neuter defend or attack well.

At the game my mate thought I was being a little harsh in my criticism of Wimmer. The MOTD highlights confirmed to me that I am witnessing the worst central defender ever to appear in a Stoke shirt in the Premier league. I would genuinely select Wolly and Marc Wilson above Wimmer.

I've taken the time to read all of this and the general opinion is also what I've thought. Overweight / unfit, no tactical / defensive nous, seems to chuck in the towel when it all gets too hard and how on earth did we pay 18 million for this bloke?
A genuine contender for the universal worst signing of the season.

Arnie lost wimmer evertime......hes nowhere near good enough Once Pieters came off we were done for because he protected Wimmer to his left and Shawcross protected him to his right. Pieters gave away the penalty, (actually a dive), but he had run all the way across from OUR left side of the field, past Wimmer and Shawcross in a vain attempt to cover THEIR left side.

A genuine contender for the universal worst signing of the season. Desperation and not the first time we've been out negotiated by Spurs (remember Palacios?). We needed cover at CB, which turned out to be very necessary when Cameron got a concussion, then BMI was injured and now Zouma is out. Cameron is not the greatest CB in the world but he is way better than Wimmer. However, that only leaves Edwards or Johnson to cover RB. A back four of Edwards, Shawcross, Cameron and Pieters is probably our best option, but that only leaves Johnson and Tymon on the bench as cover for FBs. What a mess!

Given the almost record transfer fee Wimmer must rate as the worst ever signing that the club has ever made and let’s face it we have signed some donkeys over the years. However with our manager’s undoubted pedigree as a top player and lifetime involvement in the game does he see things that we don’t?
Let’s fucking hope so!
