People going on about one big tackle would have got to Arnie, yes it would. Problem is we have no one capable of it. We are too nice. Players too quick to help an opponent up or have a friendly chat and a laugh. We have no bollocks in the side and we don't have enough players that look like that they care about wearing our shirt. Our identity has gone.

Our identity has gone. Exactly. Arnies loyalty does leave a lot to be desired but one thing is for sure, he absolutely hated losing and always put himself under his own pressure to perform well for the club. We have literally not a single soul who looks like they give a damn anymore.

If you can't see that we got to him then you must be blind. His body language and frustration were fucking clear to see. How many players do you see react to the crowd like he did? All it would have taken is is big tackle for him to lose it completely and get sent off. I don't think we got to him in the slightest, it was all pretty tame in fact. I was expecting the treatment that Commons or Kavanagh got and in the end it wasn't even remotely in that sort of ball park. Yeah, I was disappointed too. I remember the shit that Mike Sheron got with just 11,000 fans there. I thought we were going to get suped up version of that, but it fell a bit flat.

Arnies "crossed arms" thing hurt for sure but we deserved it - and him scoring the "nail in the coffin" goal was a foregone conclusion - we all knew it.....unfortunately he has been canny enough to see the writing on the wall with Hughes and secured himself what will be his last big money move before being tarnished with relegation fodder. If I were him I'd have done exactly the same if I could.
His performance yesterday demonstrated in spades what we are now lacking......the club have not used the massive profit we made on him wisely - it's a clusterfuck beyond my Hughes-doubting expectation.....

Let's not forget the barracking and piss taking he was getting two seasons ago at West Ham for his 'offside goals'. He went about the last quarter hour like a man possessed to ensure he scored and celebrated in front of the chicken run like a fucking nutter. Booing him was never going to get to him.

I am sick of Arnautovic and wouldn't be too sad if I never heard his bloody name ever again.

I'm not interested in him,but my prediction for him is that he will never amount to much ,in his mind he is messi but in reality he is a sulky big kid with talent it has to be said but his attitude is a serious flaw.So sod him.

“But he says: “It is my job to run. When the gaffer came in and gave us the stats, we were running less than any other team in the Premier League. This was a bit of a shock.
“We said we need to work hard — and we are doing this, even when the results aren’t the best. Our priority is to run and work hard.”
Are you listening stoke?.....not just the last 10 minutes when you’re losing.

Wonder if it was my kids he was talking about? My 9 and 4 year old went over to where they were warming up so that they could shout "snake" at him!

Nice piece on Arnie in the Telegraph today too ArnieI didn't think West Ham paid as much as £27 million for him as it as it says though? I'd gladly donate a minor digit to have him back, one man 'tour de force' that he is!

Wouldn't it be great if Prem footballers played like that every game - purely based on their £100k a week salaries?

Interesting contrast in the journalistic ‘styles’ of the Sun and the Telegraph there. The former heads straight for the lowest common denominator and produces an article aimed at outraging and alienating people the latter provides quite an interesting and thoughtful insight.

I'd gladly donate a minor digit to have him back, one man 'tour de force' that he is! Regarding his poor start at West Ham.. “I was not happy with myself, either. Everyone thinks that footballers go on the pitch and they have so much money that they think about themselves. But I am not like that. Money is not everything.”Say what you like about Arnie, zero of our current players put themselves under their own pressure like this man does, the confidence and belief in himself that he wants to do better and can always improve, someone who takes pride in what they love and can’t accept not being as good as they can be, for nothing other than his own pride.

I love the way he is no trying to market himself as some sort of urbane, sage. Dishing out wisdom to the children of the world.
The truth is of course he’s a selfish, daft haired, bell end who kicks a bag of wind about and employs his moral free sibling to money grub for him.
Daft cunt.

Not ashamed to say it, but I loved him faults and all. Was one of those players who had an exceptional moment in him most games and some games could terrorise the opposition. Was gutted when he left and as much as I like Choupo (break seems to have done him good and looked pretty good for the last 3 games) he does not have the explosive, get off your seat appeal that Arnie had. That being said, the way he left did leave a bitter taste...

Also our best player for a considerable portion of Hughes reign. The only one who looked like ever grabbing a game by the scruff of the neck. The only one who had any self pride to care what he did out on the pitch. How exactly is he selfish? If you’re talking about his comments on more ambition, he wasn’t far wrong on this seasons showing was he?

Arni now is playing a position i would of love seen him at stoke, with shaq just behind, we have a squad of players who should be way better than they are performing.

In the game of Stoke supporters vs Arnautovic we lost 5-0. We should admit defeat and leave it at that, because if we continue to harass him on his next return, it will only get worse. And he's right; we have more important things to do.

He says the move was not about money, just that the Hammers are a bigger club than Stoke. On match attendances that is indisputably true. Can't see him winning anything trophy wise or European football qualification with West Ham than with Stoke though.
