Lol is that all Vincent? You sound so agressive i thought i was going to be outed as a mass murderer Ha ha me the aggressive one? I think you need to have a look at your earlier post. I've got my opinion on Phil Taylor which is based on two meetings with the man and years of following darts pretty closely which you don't agree with, which is fine by me so let's just leave it there now. I dont need to look at any earlier posts thank u Vince. Also i couldnt give a fuck about your personal opinions about Taylor. Tonight "arguably" the greatest sportsman that has ever lived with reguards to titles and years at the top bowed out. And to top it off hes from Stoke which makes me very proud even if hes a Vale fan. Your scum in my eyes as somebody who doesnt love one of there own

And if you don't give a fuck about my opinions why are you intent on having a slanging match with me? I'm scum? You don't even know me, which is something "you're" slagging me off for with "regards" to Phil Taylor, so it's a bit rich you giving it the personal insults.

Even as a big fan im not sad. Taylor is not the player he was and isnt the best player now. He got his final send off in the final of the world championships which was fitting and hes been beaten by the person who is being called the new Phil Taylor. If it was MVG beating him right now my view would be totally different lol i hate that c4nt! I didn't bother watching the final as I feared PT would get beaten heavily, just followed the updates on the BBC website.Everything we currently enjoy about the darts is down to two men largely: the administrative skills of Barry Hearn and the genius of Taylor for the game itself. When darts was on its arse PT was always the draw and Hearn knew it. Cross has been sensational all year,a worthy winner and certainly doesn't look remotely cowed by Van Gerwen in the way that the likes of Chizzy et al seem to be when they go a few legs down.I can't wait for the next major, just hope Anderson's troubles aren't too serious and Adey Lewis sorts his head out; he could do with a touch of Cross's mindset.

Oh well, I came here for a bit of light relief, but after seeing the replies I don't know now lol. Anyway, Phil Taylor has a record which I feel will never be equalled, he hasn't disgraced himself at all tonight. Cross is a phenomenal player, and I hope he keeps it going. As for Eddie Hall, I found out months ago that he'd won it, and I was happy to actually see it on tv tonight. Nobody beats Eddie in the dead lift, the only man to date to lift half a ton. Big up Stoke.

Barney lucky to get a prem wild card Its not luck is it really lets be honest. "Mr Hearn, Barny puts a lot of bums on seats and hes a fans favourite" "ok hes in" Must help your cause too when there's a massive Premier League night in Roterdam to promote. Fully expect to see MVG V Cross and Barney V Anderson on this night, old Bazza certainly knows what he's doing...

There are enough good players. If he continues his decline people like wade, Lewis and chisnall have a right to ask questions. They don’t deserve it either. This championship was brilliant and showed as barry confirmed that the talent pool is healthy. Phil going increases the competition because MVG will not be as dominant as Phil for that length of time

Lewis doesn't really have a case as he has plummeted down the ranking, but Chisnall and Wade who have been bumped for Smith and Price are probably miffed. Interesting that they've decided to use wild cards when the top 10 already had so many new (and returning) faces.

I also believe the premier league doesn’t affect the order of merit but it slaps price and smith and opportunity to play top 6 players week in week out and hopefully that should give them an edge when the majors start in the summer
