Correction. One of the best out of work managers in Europe. Hughes may be on borrowed time but the clock stopped ticking for Pulis a long time ago. Not belittling what he achieved for us but he’s not the answer should Sparky sling his hook before the transfer window shuts. Not even for half a season? I'm sure Tony would just love to walk back in, after being sacked, save us from relegation and then get shown the door for someone else in May. It ain't going to happen.

Weren't the (unsuccessful) FA Cup Final and Europe one and the same?? Absolutely not. I've always been envious of other teams playing in the FA Cup final. And those teams playing in Europe. I never thought I'd live to see the day Stoke would play in either. For that alone, (and you can add in the Premier League too) I'll be forever grateful to TP. Some great trips and memories. Including Valencia? 😉😉

We're heading in only one direction, and it's not upwards, I'm not confident MH can pull us out of a nose dive, but we know TP can, and he has done it in his last two jobs. Wouldn't particularly want him long term, but if that is the price for staying in the PL , I 'd take it.

Pulis isn’t the answer but if I had to pick between him a Hughes TP would get my vote all day Its much like asking which of your bollox do you want kicking to be fair.

I'd rather get relegated and never be in the Premier league again then have him back.

Guess we shall enjoy relegation then Maybe that’s what the owners want? Avoids the Rat Race that the premiership has become. Better a team in the top half of the championship then a struggling one in the premiership. Not necessarily what I want but who knows ???

I know quite well a Birmingham and a Derby supporter.
They love being in the Championship and really enjoy it.
Sometimes I do wonder ❓

What we need is rescuing and he's the Red Adaire of football, he may as well have it as occupation on his CV. I don't know who else fits the bill now out of who's left 🤔 2 peas in a pod, both successfully 'rocked' the baseball cap look of course Tony Pulis Red Adair This changes everything! Are they related? We should be told 😬😀

How on earth could anybody want TP back? The football is shite now- but i'd say it still slightly edges the last 2 years we had under Pulis. It cant get any worse than what it is now TP took us to the prem, an FA cup final and Europe. We should be grateful yes, but have him back! No thanks. Do you remember why he left?. He became unpopular with the majority of fans for the style of football he was dishing up which eventually the board realised and replaced him. A return to that is unthinkable. MLH came in and after a period of settlement turned things around, we started to get plaudits for the football we were playing. The fans were getting excited about the football we were playing and expectations rose. Unfortunately MLH could not keep up the momentum or deliver on the promise that we had started to show. Some dire signings and his stubbornness to admit or perhaps even realise that we haven't got the players that suit the new formation has resulted in him losing the fans support. It can get worse we can go down! We we need a change of manager now the time has come. MLH OUT but not to be replaced by TP.

You are aware of the reason Pulis was sacked ...yeah ? Both here last time around and at WBA just THREE WEEKS AGO? You’ve lost the fucking plot son He would do a better job than sparky. Pulis is one of the best managers in europe. I did think “is this guy on a wind up?” Then I read that

At least with TP, WE WOULD GO OUT WITH A FIGHT and not a pathetic whimper. (A view prompted by the fact that we are nailed on to go down if we stay as we are, a view from the head, not the heart) We are a basket case, no manager with a hope of enhancing his career would take us on. The other manager like Big Sam, Owl Face, Happy Moyes etc at least have a squad with massive talent and potential, we lack quality apart from the obvious players like Shaq and Jack.

It would certainly make this message board even more divisive than it is. Was it this anti Pulis as it is anti Hughes at the moment ? did the supporters ever surround the players to demonstrate when Toxic was here ?

I'm genuinely stunned that so many people would be keen to turn to Pulis.
It's not going to happen and anyway if he is the only Red Adair in town we're not in need of a 999 call yet.
A couple of signings, start playing players in their right positions and any decent manager should be able to pull us out of trouble and then start planning for next year.

I'm not keen on a return to TP -but if he is the only answer then lets go out with all guns blazing and if I have to put up with shite for half a season and survive then I will do it, and I can't think of anyone else who may be remotely qualified to bale us out of this malaise we are in. Scraping the barrel I know but apart from a biblical event we may very well be stuffed, and I do not want that at any cost.

I think it's clear from PC's comments and Bruno's bollocks that Sparky's going nowhere. Like I keep saying, carry on as we are and the owners will not have a choice. The bad feeling and the protests will force the issue. You can say such n such all you like, if the general public demand action, then that is what will happen. Let it not be forgotten the club will be asking us to renew seadon tickets in just a few months. No action to a festering cause will mean a serious drop in sales.

Quite probably, however if the 'action' is to bring the Toxic Twat back the drop in sales would be even more serious in my opinion as proven by the sales at the end of his last stint here and the vast swathes of empty seats at The Hawthorns when he was there.
