If we want an atmosphere we need a manager that knows what turns stokies on. We have tried & and failed to change our identity, we are what we are and what we are at present is not what a stoke team is about. A team full of tikka takka pussies is not a stoke team, stokies have been bought up in the lower leagues watching challenges going In, honest hardworking players playing for the shirt with bits of flair & quality thrown into the mix. Our current transfer target goals involve reaching out to waifs and strays at bigger clubs with millions in the bank begging them to sign, we're going about it the wrong way for the wrong type of player and it's the root of our problems I say. Hughes is completely out of touch with the history of the club and the fans, these fans need to see hardworking players with challenges flying in first and foremost. A laid back pass pass pass type of football is shit, let's be honest. Competitiveness creates an atmosphere in the potteries not this shit the manager churns out. We're trying to be something we are not and have lost all identity, it's as boring as fuck. The types of players we aspire to bring in of the past few seasons are just not stoke type players. We need a modern day Lou Macari for sure, if not the man himself then fuck knows who but for me he's the blueprint for a style of football and type of player Not more of this 'our history is full of players committing fouls so lets always do that, hoof it, and never progress' bullshit. History has absolutely nothing to do with anything. We progressed and it worked very well, then hughes shat himself after a few losses, benched his best players and resorted to this hoofball bollocks we're seeing now. There is no such thing as 'Stoke-type players', and what you are considering a Stoke-type player is everything we should be moving away from. We have the players to outplay teams, we need to use them in the right system. I like a well timed crunching challenge as much as the next person, but if the rest of my life is to be spent watching us sit back and hoof it upfield without ever trying to play some football, then I'm not looking forward to it. That is not the Stoke City i want to watch. I want to watch us work hard, sure, but we have the finances and the squad to play football and we should be doing it.

Too many wankers follow our club now unfortunately. I'll be screaming my bollocks off until the final whistle though.

I'll make my way home to give the dog a good kicking. I'll leave the Chairman to make his own mind up.

I like to scream a lot If you scream for ages, sometimes your head goes funny and you can tune into the same frequency as Higher Beings

Agreed,
Long after these players and manager have gone we will still be here - it's our club. The 12th man was immense in our first year when no one gave us a chance - we priced them wrong.
We've got many faults with our team but we the fans shouldn't give up let's make the bear pit a frightening experience for away teams, cheer a throw in as it were a corner, cheer a corner as it were a goal, cheer a goal as if we have scored it ourselves, support the players whatever,
It's our club let's no go quietly
United strength is stronger.

I'm hoping that the team get everyone's support from the off. We can only control what we do as fans. At least if we were to get relegated, we would know that we had given our all. A large proportion of our fans won't be able to say this though, will they?

We should take our lead from the support that Palace fans gave to their team after their awful start to the season (one point from the opening seven games?)
The atmosphere at Selhurst is giving them a real chance of beating the drop - even if owlface is not the most inspiring manager to lead the fight back.
Couldn't we do the same?

I'm certain that 'some' of us will mate. I'm also sure that others won't get behind the team or management from the off. What this will actually achieve? Fuck knows. Only they will be able to answer this.

With the return of the snake bastard there is no excuse for it being anything other than toxic.
Fuck Hughes or whatever you think of him.
The players need it and we owe it to you them to show them what it can be like to play for us.

Our supporters are not the people who will be responsible if we are relegated, this apathy within the club started from the management and has spread downwards. The original bear pit did not require an abridged version of we’ll be with you and a Delilah being played before kick off. Whilst I like the version of Delilah that’s played the We’ll be with you ((abridged) is so reflective of the sanitised atmosphere that’s become the Norm. We came up up with pride and passion in 2008 and an atmospher that scared the shit out of opposing teams; we run a serious risk of being relegated with no pride no passion and a shit atmosphere. The Bet 365 will never have the same ring or the same effect as The Britt. But I will be shouting and swearing as per norm on Saturday and that greedy little money grabbing spunkbubble called Arnie will feel the wrath like no other has felt. 🔥
