Frankly speaking, first half was very good from Stoke and all comments here were positive, 2nd half was 50/50, and it is true Burnely didnt deserve to win.
Hughes shouldn't be sacked cause of this game but he should be sacked because many other reasons including that shocking moment today when Zouma got injured and all of us had heart attack cause he had to insert the most expensive defender in the club history "most probably".

Where's the spade? There's a dog around here that needs putting out of it's misery.
Really not enjoying this one bit.

To be fair I have wanted Hughes gone for 12 months . I’ve been to the game tonight and I thought they put a hell of a shift in despite terrible conditions. How we lost that game I don’t know. Shite referee, lucky break for Burnley who never looked like scoring. My main gripe tonight was when he took Shaquiri off. Don’t understand why when he is under pressure he takes of a potential match winner who I thought was one of the best players on the pitch.

I think that some of his decision-making must have a hidden agenda. There is no other explanation. They should have chucked the Wimmer £18m at Keele University, to fund research into Mark Hughes' mind.

No need for £18m in research, they'd crack his nut open and find a tiny audio tape playing "we didn't deserve to lose that, we'll get a reaction next week" on repeat

He needs the Alan Ball coffee treatment if he's still here Saturday. The daft vulva might get the fucking message then.

Could try to upgrade him I guess, maybe if we try very hard we can have him performing at the same mental level as a Jack Russell, I wouldn't hold my breath though

He's taking the piss. He's a man who thinks his job his safe. Contradicting himself at every turn.
I hate to say it but Saturday could be horrible. I honestly think we'll lose the game and it could get very nasty indeed. I think it could be pivotal in our recent history because I genuinely feel we could see a rerun of the Birmingham game and that would be awful.
Frustration levels are reaching critical.

He looked tired and despondent on Sky. Don't think he could believe the result and there in lies the problem he just doesn't understand that he created the opportunity for Dyche to exploit with his negativity.

Or kept Fletcher on?

After 65-70 minutes we were crying out for a fresh pair of legs up front because Diouf had run his knackers off. So what does he do? Instead of bringing on his star signing, he waits another 15 minutes, takes off his best player that could actually play a through ball to Berahino and brings on Cheapo-Motel. Then he blames his other star signing for costing us the goal. Great tactics and man management - I don’t think!

I am at a loss for words that Hughes stated this tonight.
Its simple Sparky, we lost tonight because we produced fuck all, and playing in that style with the players you have we will waste the rest of the season producing fuck all and losing heavily to better teams. If for no other reason than that you made this statement tonight, you have to go, you have entirely lost the plot.

I think it's primed to explode on Saturday particularly with the Snake no doubt guaranteed to score against us.
I was at that Birmingham game and although hopefully the scoreline won't be 0-7 again, I think the levels of frustration, anger and concern over possible relegation will finally see the crowd turn en masse.
Coates said we had 2 big games this week, well Hughes has already lost one of them, does his mean he has just one game left, or is it a rolling two games. Doesn't Coates realise the crowd has had more than enough ? Does he think everything is fine and we're on course for another safe mid-table finish ?
The whole set up is a shambles and the Board are being complacent, arrogant, out of touch and downright deluded - as has been said elsewhere this has all the ingredients of a relegation season, and action is urgently required to arrest this seemingly inevitable slide into the Championship.
Hughes should have gone last summer, he should have gone after Spurs last weekend (as well as after numerous other "performances"), but he bloody well MUST go now !

Coates has to stop prevaricating and swing the axe today.
It's no good waiting any longer, the club is in serious trouble, the idiot in charge hasn't got a scooby how to turn things around, and his team selections, substitutions, and tactics are just leading straight to the Championship.
Hughes's time is up, hopefully the Board have got his successor already lined up, although somehow I very much doubt it !
I think Coates has been commendably loyal but the time came months ago when he should have sacked Hughes.
For the sake of the Club, our Prem status, and the fans, it's more than time to get rid of the incompetent, deluded idiot before the West Ham game. Any longer reluctance to do so is seriously jeopardizing our Prem survival.

Our performance tonight was a lot of huff and puff.
We were the better team in the first half but couldn't score.
We were ok in the second half but still couldn't score.
They did,1-0 final score.
It isn't who plays the best-it is who scores more.
