Wimper v Carroll God no, please no. Should be X rated and people of a nervous disposition should be warned to stay away.

Won't make a massive difference he normally bullies Ryan quite badly anyhow.

Won't make a massive difference he normally bullies Ryan quite badly anyhow. That simply isnt true is it? Ryan's battles with him have been great viewing and ryan is yet to lose one of them from what ive seen. Our record v west ham is generally pretty good and i dont recall carrol scoring to many goals against us for west ham, if any.

Muniesa handled Carroll particularly well a couple of seasons back as well. He's never really done that much against us......

Scoring or not I'd say Carol has definitely had the better of their physical battles even with Ryan at his best which he hasn't been at for some time. Even in Ryan's pomp Carol was one player I thought really dominated him.

I have a few west ham mates and they love ryan just because of how good he has been v carroll. Your pessimism is legendary but in this instance you are seriously letting it cloud any kind of positive judgement. You wont come out in a rash if you say something good about someone or something associated with stoke you know

To my mind he's always dominated Ryan, no shame he does the same to virtually all centre halves. Probably the best targetman in the Prem if he could stay fit for more than two weeks at a time.

I remember a game against Notts County at home think Warnock was their manager and Paul Devlin scored for them 0-1 to them and we absolutely pulverised them. Don't even know why that game sticks in my mind don't think it was particularly significant.

Carrol will try to hurt Ryan we know that nothing illegal but if Shawcross had to go off injured then Wimmer and Geoff would have pair up. Personally I would be feeding Harry Soutar raw meat now and give him a game with instructions to legimatily kick Carroll off the park.

Its just not something we see from them. I'm not saying I particularly want that type of thing but can you remember when we used to come up against a young Ashley Young one or two reducers and he was out of the game and wanting to be subbed. On second thoughts yes I am saying I want that type of thing just as an ingredient of a team that plays good football not a team that only sets out to spoil and strangle the game.

Or any Premiership game for that matter? I've heard it all now.

West Ham have that momentum bollocks that pundits keep banging on about. It doesn't bode well.

West Ham have that momentum bollocks that pundits keep banging on about. It doesn't bode well. And we've been charitable at giving teams momentum and confidence, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Palace and Brighton to a lesser extent!!!!!
